I was under the impression the back pieces had the ability to be infused with 250 Ecto, a gift of ascension and glob of coagulated mist essence. My Shadow of grenth even after being removed from my character does not show in the forge. Its already a bit frustrating that it clips with both my grenths hood and arah mantle but not being able to stat properly really makes this a frustrating as the back piece isn’t exactly the cheapest to craft/ fastest to collect relics for. Will i have to start collecting relics from scratch again? I would have been a lot more judicious with them had I known i’d have to buy a separate fractal back piece. I see there was one other post 2 months back that had no response referencing both Shadow of Grenth and Light of Dwayana but no response. Is this a bug that could be remedied fairly quickly or should I sell of the ecto and start working on other pieces…

Shadow of Grenth and Light of Dwayna Canth be infused right now. They might put out an infusion recipe for them in tomorrows patch.

has there been any specific mention of this from the team or you just thinking it would make sense since there’s a patch tomorrow? Just curious. Thanks for the input!

They once said that agony resistance would only be obtainable through fractals. The other ascended non fractal related backpiece, the karka shell, is also not infusible. They did however add alternate recipes for the existing infusible pieces so that fractals are no longer required and infusing itself requires fractals anyways, so there’s nothing stopping them from making the change. They probably won’t though considering it’s almost been a year since the karka shell.

I don’t think you can infuse something else other that a Fractal Capacitor. If you want to have an infused Shadow of Grenth you will have to craft a Infused Fractal Capacitor and then transmute in with your shadow of Grenth. Don’t transmute your shadow on a capacitor before you finish to upgrade it or you will lose your Shadow of Grenth skin.

That is incorrect. You can’t put the items in the forge to begin with. I would trade my shadow of grenth in for a back piece that could be infused(like there with yakkington) if possible.
