A few of my friends recently bought the game. I was playing with the one but I was no able to see him for some reason. He is running it on a Mac if that has any difference but idk. I would really like to play with him but I can’t atm. Any help would be great thanks!

Are you both in the same zone, but he has a blacked out portrait? If that’s the case, he’s in a different instance of the zone. Right-click his portrait and pick “Join in X Zone” to go to his instance, or have him do the same to join yours.

No he does not. I can’t even see his portrait.

Alright, you need to invite each other to your party then. Towards the top-left of the screen should be a “Create/Join Party” button. Type in his character’s name there and pick “Invite” to invite him to your party.

You can also add each other as friends via the Friends/Contacts menu (push Y). Type in each other’s character name there to set each other as Friends. You can then form a party by right-clicking your friend’s name on that list and picking “Invite to Party” from the context menu that pops up.

I can’t even do that. There is not contact with him whatsoever.

Is there any chance your friend set his account to invisible mode?
Press Y and check if the status box is set to green – online.

Have you added him to your friend list?

You can press Y to set him as a friend even when he’s not online. Are you spelling his character’s name correctly?

maybe you guys are in different zones, the EU and NA servers are separated, and for adding contacts between them you need to know the full account name including the 4 numbers
