Can't imagine crafting Ascended Armor
Yep, it’s going to take forever
Buy all the components from people that don’t care about ascended gear. The 2 weeks of crafting daily components suddenly drops to nothing. You just need to supply the account bound components from temples, dragon events and champions.
Not really ……
What I got from the TWITCH stream was that the results of what you make from the account bound time gated items are tradeable in the trading post.

So theoretically you could make your ascended armor without any timegate it would just cost you more.
If you do want to make it yourself however it should take about 2 weeks per piece.
NOTE: This is a good thing. It makes crafting useful after you got the armor/weapons you are looking for. Can’t have everything.

I don’t understand why their top level gear also has to be their “cosmetic” gear. There should be easy access to basic ascended equipment, and if you want cooler looking gear that’s where all the gear grind can be. Why did they forget this simple concept from gw1? They want everyone to grind?
Well not going to even try for Ascended, better to wait for Legendary to come out and not waste resources. Ascended will just be made obsolete by another tier in the future.
No kidding. One upgraded mat per day, per account. And we need how many to make one piece of armor? Multiple that by six armor slots. Then multiply that by however many characters you’d like to gear up (I have five, myself), and that’s nothing but a kick to the sensitive region.
