Well, it just so happens I just can’t seem to enjoy the game.. I’ve started playing since launch and all I ended up with is an empty account or with one barely leveled characters..

First of all, if I do a starting area once, the second time it’s super boring for me and I can’t stand it and the problem is, the few races that I liked (human, asura) I rolled all the classes on those races, but when I try to PvP, get steamrolled andkitten I just delete the character, now again back to creating and back in the same noob zone that I know, I just can’t play it all over again (and I don’t like the other races at all).

Now second the PvP.. I only play structured PvP just to try out what the class is like and is just me or every freaking time I try to go and take a base I meet up a zerg of 5 people waiting for me.. What the hell happened to all the PvP videos I’ve watched where it’s always 1vs1 or 1vs2.. I meet the entire army all the freakin time, I can’t even run away, the instant they see me.. 100 stuns, 300 cripples, dazes.. I just drop my mouse and do nothing in despair.

There’s still a lot I just don’t understand about the game. What is the point of WvW if you can play sPvP with best gear and all skills unlocked. Oh and what is the point of those rewards (chests) in sPvP, I can already buy the best gear for 0 currency, so what’s the deal?

I’ve tried almost all classes (mostly just to lvl 2 and then straight to mists), but I just can’t seem to find one that I would totally love. I level a character to lvl 2, go to the mists, don’t know what the hell is the cookie cutter spec and rotation for that class get roflstomped by a billion stuns and I quit, it just makes me rage. Is just me or does it seem that no matter what you do, how much you try to blend into the zerg, you always and I mean ALWAYS get targeted in a middle of mega zerg by someone and then get zerged.. I tried a ranger, I stay on the sidelines, pew pew and yet there’s always someone popping behind..

Sound like you have commitment issues. But really what you just told me is equivalent to “I hate beer because I drank Budweiser and it didn’t taste good” Sorry to tell you this but you need baby steps first and you need to stop drinking kitten poor beer and get into some ales.

How about pick a class and try it out in PvE for a while. In fact don’t do anything else till you get to lvl 40 or 80 just so you know your class, know how to move and know to stay with your group. You have 5 slots so don’t delete it when you get bored. Learn the game in PvE for a while, get your controls down and then play a little WvW. When you have your feet under you, then try PvP.

1. Try going to the starting areas you haven’t been to before to level, unless you don’t like any of them then you’re sort of screwed on that end.
2. You seem to give up fairly easily, I would suggest you taking a look at Team Paradigm’s website (just Google it) and looking at their guides.
3. You’re only playing your characters to level 2? Why? That’s not a long time at all to try them out. Try getting them to AT LEAST level 10.
4. Also, I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but it sounds as if you think you’re suppose to be good at SPvP, when in reality, you’re not. It takes time to get good at in the game, and using the correct build is vital. Again, go look up some builds and guides and see if that helps.

Yeh, by no means Im pro.. But the thing that got me really this evening is the steamrolling zerg.. Really, I’ve been watching those PvP videos for ages and all I see is the commentator doing 1vs1, 1vs2, basically small duels almost or if its a zerg nobody notices him.. But when I do stuff, its a whole different story.. Doesnt matter if you stand 2 miles back of the zerg, someone will notice you, always and pop behind you or simply you’ll catch the whole enemy team by yourself and get wtfstuncrippledotlocked to oblivion without even being able to launch a skill.. This drives me crazy..

And yeh, whats the point of pvp rewards if you can already buy them for 0 currency?

And regarding PvE, PvE is majorly boring for me, I mean, scripted mob fighting isn’t my cup of tea.. The fact that you can test out any class fully equipped and ready since lvl 2 is awesome, but it also makes it hard for me to pick one and stick with it.. The only joy I find is killing real people, not mobs.. but all I get right now is being stunzerged by armies and my team is ALWAYS freakin losing..

Just keep playin the game. If you’ve only gotten characters to level 2, you really haven’t experienced the game yet. I would strongly reccomend playing a character to at least level 30, before you really try anything else. That helps you get a handle on most of the mechanics of that class, at least the basic ones. When I first played the game I was so lost, and sucked at everything(sPvP, WvWvW, PvE, Crafting(yes i sucked at crafting)) I had no idea what I was doing. So I simply just kept leveling my guy, as i slowly unlocked new skills and stuff, it gave me time to learn what they do and the possible uses for them. Now I tend to own in sPvP(normally 1st or 2nd in points), and in PvE im taking out Veterans a couple levels above me with no issues. I’m still finding a place for myself in WvWvW, I have yet to grasp that content yet. But anyways, bottom line, i would just strongly reccomend sticking to ONE class until you got a grasp on the basics. If you want to play a human but not in their starting zone(so its different), make one, travel to Divinities reach, take the Asuran Portal(purple portal) to Lion’s Arch, then run over to one of the other starting zone portals(I loved the Slyvari starting zone) and start fresh from there. Only traveling back to your area to do your story quests.

If all you are interested in is PvP, then you really just complained because you stink at PvP. You saw a video of a guy who was lucky enough to get a 1 on 1. The game put some reality in it and if you do 2 or 3 on 1 then you are guaranteed to win. People know this and thus they stick together. So find your group and stay with them, don’t run off on your own and think you will run into someone else who also did the same. Those who run on their own are generally ‘cappers’ who avoid fighting.

Again I’ll say try dealing with PvE. You don’t seem to have the patience for PvP and you also haven’t learned from your mistakes.

The purpose for the PvP rewards are the skins not the stats. This game will let you have equal stats so that your skill at playing is important not the gear you use. As such you can reward yourself by looking like a badkitten

Oh, if you only want to play sPvP, then get used to sucking for a while. It’s just the way of the world. You have to practice at a game to get good at it. I would reccomend not building a glass cannon of any class, instead go healing/vitality/toughness so that you dont getkittenin 2 secs and can actually use some of your abilities, stick WITH your team, until you feel confident enough to go “scout” on your own.

Sadly its the same thing in the pve instances.

It sounds to me like you put yourself in bad situations to begin, and then are surprised when you get stomped. Learn to read the battlefield and pick your spots WITH your teammates.

PvP videos = tournaments. Hot join PvP is unorganized zergfest by definition and will always be.

the game is bad because you dont know your skills and get roflstomped? i dont understand how you couldve posted this thread, but you can watch/read some guides, read your skills, learn how to move in combat and dodge in pve and you know, play the game and youll learn it, theres no other solution.
