while you are on a different character? I want to craft a legendary, and I understand there are collections. Can I get parts of HOPE’s collection items if I’m playing on my Revenant for example? Or are there certain things I can’t get.

You can collect everything on anything, unless there’s a level req for maps or something.

Collections (like all achievements) are account-wide, so yes you can do it across multiple characters.

Also, I’m fairly certain all the parts you need to craft are account bound so you can craft them on any character on your account and then pass them to the one you’re making the legendary on to combine.

Also note you may need to use a chararcter that has high enough crafting for certain bits, but otherwise the collections are account bound, so use any character you like

There are one or two minor exceptions. I’m using my thief to make HOPE (well, just in the very first part so far). My engie is my huntsman. It turned out the Huntsman had to go loot the alchemy cache in the Tears of Itlaocol because it gave a recipe directly to him. But for all else so far I’ve roamed around on the thief, dropped recipes in the bank, and swapped to the Huntsman to learn and use the recipes.
