Can we get Preset/Saveable Builds?
it is repeated yes and they said they would like to implement it in the future sometime but not working on it am
Yeah Lots of people have posted about this in the past.
I myself have made a post in the past.
I too hope this will happen
Build saving is more a case for PvP especially that they’re introducing “new” “game” “mode” into the same queue that other “game” “modes” are running which makes it ridiculous to change whole build during preparation phase (especially that you have no idea which mode you’re going to play). PvE can be played with no build so who cares.
The problem is we are not going to get build templates with HoT which from my point of view is a crime against logic and common sense. It was a basic feature of GW1 and we can’t have it in GW2 after 3 years.
They had it in Guild Wars, and it’s very useful where there were so many viable builds and skills.
Sadly one of the better features didn’t get carried over- why not is anyone’s guess, maybe it’s the lack of build diversity or the restrictions on the number of skills that made them think it wasn’t worth the effort.
It should be just normal/standard: they implemented it in GW1 after a while. And many games have it. I don’t know why they don’t do this. Can’t imagine this is a big thing to do.
‘would of been’ —> wrong

It shouldn’t be, if you implement it at the same time as working on other aspects of the skills UI.
But that seems to be the problem here. They’ve kept saying “Oh we’d like to do it but not now…” instead of saying “We’re working on this area so we will do this now”.
I mean, if they don’t do it with this huge skill re-work (or very shortly thereafter), they probably won’t do it, period, because it’s just so low-priority to them.
The whole thing is really bizarre because every aspect of the game which actually requires good play requires a degree of skill/build switching/matching, dungeons, hard world-bosses, competitive PvP, etc., and not having saved builds just means having to click click click and double-check you didn’t miss anything, which is tedious non-gameplay.
Someone asked for it in the Specialization stream and one of the devs said “that’s a good idea, we should look into that.” So there you go.

Which is bananas, because they’ve said that before, so why is it news to them now? It shouldn’t be “a good idea”, it should be “part of the plan”.

I believe they felt the new system will be quick and easy enough that one wouldn’t need presets. It is, generally, a lot more streamline than the current system, if only due to lack of choices in comparison. But now we might get both.
Whats the problem with a physical note pad and a pen to write down your build specs and have close at hand? kitten todays people are so lazy

Feature was already in first game so it’s logic to demand same feature in this game. Especially when you can change builds between fights.

Even if the first game was not a mmorpg?

That has nothing to do with anything, and is arguable anyway.
