Can we get a /tradingpost search function
You mean you want a way to search it when not in game? I think there are some API apps that do that, but I’m not sure as I don’t do mods in this game, even authorized ones. None of them will let you actually trade afaik.
In game, you hit one letter (for me it is “O”) to bring up the TP, and then there is a search box in the upper left where you can type in the name of the item you’re looking for.
Typing /wiki and then the item’s name should give you the page which has the current price and a chat code you can use to preview it.
For example: the wiki page for Final Rest. Has the current price and details about it.

Can we get a /trading post search function? Just like the /wiki command would be very useful, and most important of all make it easier to be lazy.
Easier to be lazy about what? If you have an item, you can right-click to buy/sell via the TP. If you don’t have the item, you can shift-click, copy the name from chat, and paste it in the TP search window (press [enter] after removing the square brackets).
What other features would you like to give up in order that ANet can save you from this onerous experience?

It IS difficult to search the trading post. /nods head
You have to pulllllll up the trading post by hitting O or the icon on the UI
Then yah got to moooove the mouse over to Trading Post on the left side
then click it.
Then yah got to moooove the mouse over to buy items
Then click it
Then yah got to moooove the mouse over to search, then type.
I usually lie down at this point and rest a bit.
