How to Train Your Dragon was an amazing movie!
LMAO @ Chris Cleary, saw that “word” this is an official post, that was hilarious
Honesty is not insulting, stupidity is.
>Class Balance is a Joke<
Something about teeth or fangs maybeee?
We already tried a lot of teeth/fangs.. :/
this is kittening killing me, i tried everything, i even did some hearts with items sounding like it would be it.

Very cheeky
Has anyone tried a Fang of Tequatl?
Has anyone tried a Fang of Tequatl?
or frostfang
(doubtful, they wouldn’t be that cruel )
No, but we can get a Dev telling people where to get Flax Seeds so people who actually explore and do stuff can’t don’t make so much !
Everyone GO WATCH how to train your dragon to see how to make the recipe!!!!!!!!!
There maybe hints in the movie…..!!!!!!!!!
Have we figured out what this means: “…and those who face the Mad King in his encounter will have a chance for a rare and marvelous reward!”? Could it be related to the missing ingredient? It could just be the tattered bat wings, but that seems unlikely. https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/releases/october-23-2015/

I second this. This might sound like a joke, but there might actually be hints in the film. Maybe they took inspiration from it? IDK.

…what? Flax seeds can be gathered from Flax nodes, found in the new HoT maps (or at the least Verdant Brink and I think Auric Basin).
uhm guys, isn’t the map “dragons stand” about some shadow dragon? At least i’m pretty sure i had some event there about some champion of the shadow dragon or so
Maybe the map event there gives a drop which is required for these shoulders:
Another idea would be some relation to a smokescale. Had a Pristine Shadow Claw which belongs to smokescale. But it didn’t fit in with glacial lodestone.

Somebody should try Gift of Rodgort with this quest.
According to http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gift_of_Rodgort it is based on a dragon cartoon.
Or http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dragon%27s_Revelry_Starcake
This.

Just to leave this here. As i said final map is about some shadow dragon. Guess we need some people for a organsation of that map. And check out the loot then, maybe we find something useful.

Thx devs, i watched the movie how to train your dragon again, it’s a great movie, as for knowing more about crafting this, i don’t have a clue :p
There have been some theories about an item in the wardrobe Gyve of Madness being required… sounds like Give? OR Gift? What if one of the missing items requires combining gift of souls, spiders, and moon with something else? to make Gyve of Madness?

nope, i tried that already
Well if the Dragon picture is indeed a clue… Has anybody tried Tequatl spoons or sunless runes? Or other Tequatl drops? Some new Drop? As a black dragon that’s got to be one of the most likely suspects
Nekretaal theres a dragon in the new maps called Shadow of Dragons. being a shadow of a dragon results in a dragon mor elike toothless
I think the pic’s just because in the film, toothless is a nightfury, no?
Is there a confirmation on whether the remaining unknown piece is halloween gated. (like an RNG drop from the clocktower, which is my personal nightmare :P).
Oh, come on! What’s with having nightfury there and “gift of stealth” not work?
Someone try gift of ice. I mean the movie does take place on ice for the most part

not really but people have been grinding these things, most likely would be the mad king, but some people did him 350+ times without any different items.
is it possible that gyve of madness is a discover-able item in one of the armor crafting professions? Gyve can mean shackle btw.
Has the new halloween skin been tried in the Mystic Toilet… ie. the shackle one.

yes it has peopel saoid on reddit u cant forge or craft it. it wont even show up
Has anyone tried beating up on the Jormag tooth in Hoelbrak? Thanks to that being there, Jormag is … slightly more toothless than before …
/is out of ideas
Seems like I’m the only one who has noticed…
but those aren’t bats flying around. They’re tiny black night furies. Try screen capping about 25 times while wearing white armor and previewing night fury. They have a long tail, their wing structure is identical to a night fury’s (and wrong for a bat’s), and their head shape and flying posture are all exactly like Toothless from How to Train your Dragon.

that’s how “bats” look in gw2.
-points to bat mini-
-points to every single bat mob in Tyria-
they have dragon-like heads and long tails.

Fair enough.
Are the tattered bat wings the only item tied to Halloween (that we know of) so far?
There’s a lot of dragons/wyverns in verdant brink as shown by wooden potatos.

Day 4: The hunt continues.
Has anyone tried using the frames from the craftable backpacks, or perhaps the simple/sturdy/etc ‘x’ tools?
Hiccup was a tinker/inventor. In the movie he was apprenticed to Gobber, who was a smith of some sort. So we could have ties to either weapon or armor smithing crafting components.
There have been some theories about an item in the wardrobe Gyve of Madness being required… sounds like Give? OR Gift?
Neither. It’s pronounced ‘jive’. Just like getting funky.
gyve
/j?v/
noun archaic
noun: gyve; plural noun: gyves
a fetter or shackle.
is it possible that gyve of madness is a discover-able item in one of the armor crafting professions? Gyve can mean shackle btw.
Really, I’m surprised more people haven’t investigated this. We have the ability to craft invisible bags in the same profession as makes shoes. Seems like a likely link.

I didn’t know at the time but apparently the gyve of madness item is currently unobtainable, its for a future patch or something.
Nightfury on the other hand is obtainable right now.
This connection may be tenuous at best, but the reddit user who spoke to a Dev in game about Nightfury did post images of their conversation. Besides the stuff about How to Train Your Dragon, the the Dev did make a rather direct reference to gliding and I can’t help but notice that Toothless DOES have a glider to replace the broken fin on his tail.
As I said, this is a tenuous connection at best, but perhaps what we’re missing is somehow involved with gliding. I mean, they release Batwings as a glider skin alongside Nightfury which so far seems to require Tattered Bat Wings and Batwing Brew. I’ve heard a few people mention a possible Gift of Gliding? Maybe this is where we should be looking because that’s a lot of flying references!
Or, for that matter, maybe “Toothless” is the real hint since everything we’ve found so far wing related and bats have two pretty iconic features in pop culture – wings and fangs. Maybe that’s what we’re missing.
Food for thought!
got the gyve mixed up with another item there. some players are looking for invisible shoes
Not to forget the exotic weapons Dragon Fury and Dragon Shot… :P

I’m following the race to discover nightfury very closely. I’m at work so i cant really participate in the scramble, but it sure is fun!! Does anybody know if this thing is only available during halloween? I heard it was, but it seems silly to me that a very cool, ascended piece is so hard to get in such a limited time. In any event, kudos to all of you working kitten the recipe for nightfury.
Not to forget the exotic weapons Dragon Fury and Dragon Shot… :P
I got a dragonspine from the Mad King’s Ascent.
Guys guys, I know what’s missing: A Nargacuga Wing!
Hmmm, nope. A “Heavenly Narga Scale”. Because it’s not simple enough to just need a wing . . .
By the way, if there was a Nargacuga here I think everyone would freak out over the combat. Why? No flash bombs, no sonic bombs, no pit traps
. . . though, our Elder Dragon Zhaitan fight is almost as engaging as beating Lao Shan Lung. We need Jormag to fight like Kushala Daora next
Not to forget the exotic weapons Dragon Fury and Dragon Shot… :P

And you’ll need an Iron Greave of course to account for the lost foot.
