Well, you have armor, weapons with your Guild emblem on them already – why do we need capes? Capes really had clipping issues in GW1 – don’t need any more of those.

We don’t need them. We want them. I have several characters who would look good in a cape. None of them would look good in a flower pot.

Honestly, the number of times players have asked for capes, you would think NCSoft would step in to provide some direction. After all, when did anyone ever ask for a flower pot on their back?

Just because they had clipping issues in GW1 doesn’t necessarily mean that they will be here in GW2 if they were to be implemented – Physics calculation has come a long way since 2004

We also need a new run-roll animation then for charr since they will constantly
tap with their feets on the cape that hangs down to the ground when they run
and so fall to their face and roll a while .. lol

We need Incredibles 2 where Edna shows a video about Charrs with capes

Capes would apparently require a ton of work. I’d be happy if we got some practical looking back items for a change though. Some sleek and elegant, or at least differently themed quivers would be a nice start. Maybe a set of blades like Anton’s. A bag of scrolls and potions and witchy looking things such as a Necro or Ele might actually need.

I die a little inside every time I see someone wearing the spinal blades. God-kitten those things are hideous.

Capes will be coming with a future box expansion along with Cantha, Elona, FoW, UW, Urgoz, FA, JQ, Mounts, 13 new weapon types, 4 new races, Polymock battles, and 3 new professions…I’m pretty sure.

Right after we get some non-trenchcoat medium armor.

I don’t see a problem with capes myself, if you want to wear them fine if you don’t it’s your choice there are plenty of diverse items to choose from.. it would help add to extra diversity among players. There are all kinds of clipping with armor and even world props such as some merchant tents .. boots that clip legs and feet for that matter.. tier 3 human armor is very cape like and clips.. big deal, it’s pretty awesome.. It’s my opinion that people shouldn’t be so rude about other people wanting to see other things implemented into the game because it’s just not their preference. Constructive criticism can be given without sarcasm and rude comments..

… I want them to implement capes. Actually, I want a beautiful influx of new armors that are not gemstore items. More options = better since everyone has a different taste. I am so so so pleased that more non-gemstore weapon skins have been added, so hopefully this trend continues…

….. that said… I now want NCSoft to bribe Pixar/Disney into letting them use Edna to introduce the capes to the Charr…. =D
