Guild Wars 2

I’m nearly finished with the process of making Mawdrey, and It’s been some of the most fun I’ve had in GW2. It truly felt immersive and meaningful, like an epic adventure.
The only thing that bums me out though is that I have nothing other than my memories to remind me of the journey. I genuinely enjoy scrolling over the components, looking over their pictures, and reading the little bits of lore; and yet, it saddens me that these will all disappear when I complete my Mawdrey.

Seeing as how scavenger hunts are by nature immersive, what if Anet introduced little journals, sort of like the Personal Story chapters, that detailed the process we had to go through to acquire components. I’d love to see those old thumbnail images of the components, and to be able to read the lore once again of each item.

I could see this especially being something myself and others could enjoy as new scavenger hunt items are introduced, such as precursors.

If this is a serious direction Anet plans to go with new items and immersion, then a little tab in the Hero Panel could be quite enjoyable and helpful to guide and record the experiences.

Anywho, this is just an old immersion junky’s 2 cents.

I like this idea, especially as Mawdrey felt a little lacking in in game direction. I’m not a fan of relying on out of game sources like Dulfy for process, despite how well written they guides are.
