Guild Wars 2

So a lot of my guild mates were talking about buying another copy of Guild Wars 2 this weekend for the extra character slots. You get 5 character slots for about 10 bucks vs. 1 character slots for 10 bucks which is around 800 gems.

It would be really nice if we got a discount on the character slots this weekend, maximum one purchase of course.

It’s just inconvenient to have to switch accounts, but I know in the end this is what a lot of people are going to end up doing.

I’d like this too. I’m kinda jealous of those that have 30+ character slots. Even though I’d be satisfied with like 12 tops until more professions and races come out.

Thing with getting a new account is all the cosmetics aren’t included too and have to be reobtained. As well as PvP rank and WvW rank. Like if your a WvW’er you want to play on one account than and not switch between them because its going to take longer to reach the achievements, same with PvP.

The problem with 2 accounts is all the account-bound stuff . I’d rather just have 1 account, so i can at least trade between characters.

Which is why I want a one time purchase for an extra character slot. I know a lot of people are going to buy an extra copy for the slots but I just can’t be bothered due to the pain it will be.

Yea this would be nice, but the only (sort of) problem with is that it doesn’t necessarily generate the same $ for anet since people can buy them with gems.

(For every gem purchase with gold there is $ backing it up, but not necessarily recently generated.)

You can buy gems with in game gold thats why.

The account bound stuff and the account bonuses… I thought about getting another account but I’d never play it because I love the account bonuses I have and wouldn ’t want to start over.

The point of the sale is to attract new players, not to give access to cheaper character slots for existing players.
