Guild Wars 2

My characters generally have meaning to them.

Some don’t really. I just keep them for crafting/birthdays and stuff. I don’t like the clutter. Can we have a way to clean up the character bars?

Some kind of pocket/hide feature? Some drop down for the hidden ones?

It would be nice for something to be done here. Personally I would like to see them ALL on one screen and not having to scroll through them all. It would also be nice if we could “lock” their placements so we can set them up in any priority that we like.

Or at least apply some sorting option, like sort by name, by world completion, by guild, by server… still incorporating the current by last played time, you get the hint =]

I played GW1 and I know that at some point we got a sorting option at the character screen.
Would be great if that would come in GW2, too.

Play time, last login, highest lv etc

They are sorted – the one you played last is first and in that order to the right to the one you played the longest ago.
I have my charaters sorted actually, but having to double click after the 14th is a pet peeve of mine.
(I have 15 characters so it’s just for one more char)

I agree. 14 of my chars have a task and usually stay on the map they are and I usually only play one character who moves around. For me this works but I can imagine that to some it’s a problem.
But actually: would be nice if the current system were included in the sorting options so I can carry on like usual. But then again: char slots are on sale..

I want to hide some.

I just don’t like seeing that bar cluttered.

I’d love to have the option to sort them. Custom sorting would be best for me since the order I want mine in is almost but not quite the order they were created in.

But even having a few different options could be good. Something like:

• Last Played
  *Total Playtime
• Alphabetical
• By Level
• Age

Not really a priority but I too would like to see a redesign of the character screen with a better way to organize. One person suggested something like this:

This approach might be too cluttered for people with lots of characters, but I personally would love to be able to see all my characters without having to scroll.

I’m sure lots of players have one of each class, with maybe an extra slot for messing around in, so it would be great if they used some of that empty white space to show nine or ten characters instead of just seven.
