For some reason Destiny’s Edge 2.0 is suffering from a racial imbalance with two human npcs and no sylvari. Unless Kassameer is actually a sylvari in disguise or something, we need to hire a sylvari to address this issue.

There are a number of notable Sylvari we could pick up. Occam, Canach, Laranthir, Trahearne, though Laranthir and Trahearne have class overlaps with Braham and Marjory.

Nah, as Boss of DE 2.0 I will not tolerate any filthy dragon minions in my entourage.

They probably don’t want any more prominent sylvari characters before HoT considering what’s happening with the sylvari and Mordremoth

The game is already too Sylvari focused. I played TA Aether path last night and it REALLY reminded me how kittenty a character Scarlet was. Awful antagonist in every way.

Can’t wait for Kralky arc. Then it’ll be very Charr focused.

What are you talking about. The leader is a Sylvari. You know, Kailek the Ranger and her pet bear Trinket. (That’s my main character :P)

I believe Canach is going to play a more important roll as the story develops. I finished LS2 again this weekend and realized he appears in the cut scene at the end several times. He also, obviously, played an important part in the story of the Beta Weekend story arc.

Always saw him as a warrior, he carries sword and shield and he uses no guardian/mesmer/revenant magic.

That’s compensation for the original storyline, where we have Destiny’s Edge plus another sylvari, namely Trahearne, as main characters. /jk

I got the impression that your character is supposed to be the Sylvari to round out DE2’s racial diversity.

It’s no small secret that Sylvari are currently the main characters of the game.

Only a sylvari could manage such a wooden performance as Marjory gives us.

Canach is pretty clearly the new member. Laranthir is with the Pact, still. Canach is with the player character and DE 2.0 during the opening story for the HoT beta. He was also featured in several parts of LS2, being groomed by Anise to help us out and join us.

I solve this issue by being a Sylvari, and I am the “Boss” so in my world, its all about the Sylvari.

Im already so sick ofthe sylvari… and we havent even gotten to release day yet… FML

DE 2.0 is racially balanced: two humans, one charr, one norn, one super genius asura, and the Ghost of Scarlet. Not to mention the holier-than-thou Caithe (she who is ever-so-helpful to their endeavors).

(That said, I think “balance” is an over-used theme in art; I’m ok with DE 2.0 not including Sylvari, since they figure heavily into the rest of the story.)

Canach seems to be joining the group from what we’ve seen in the HoT beta. Plus, the player character themselves can be sylvari, filling the racial diversity.
