Candidate Trials tier 4 solo perfect score
If you want to make it harder do it in a group of 5 light armor classes.
There I just made harder content for you.

lol
I just find it hilarious that they’re all like omg we made this very hard and t4 is gonna take srs organized parties etc meanwhile you can solo the first 3 tiers without any effort
You cant go asking for harder content when you deliberately took the easiest path and soloed it knowing its easier to solo it than to do it in a group…
IMHO , a perfect score include killing everything ( 40 kill + ).. not just doing spawn camping the plunderers and ignore the rest … but again it’s only my opinion …… i did tier 1 , 2 and 3 solo in light armor ( necro ) with at least 41 kills … your way is the easy path and if you don’t want loots.

people are always going to take the easiest path deliberately. I didn’t. I handicapped myself going solo rofl.

You’re talking to casuals dude. It’s pointless.
Wow boring, I thought you were going to actually fight the enemies instead of using this lame excuse of a strategy.
Also glad I didn’t roll a silvary female Guardian, that retreat makes me cringe :<
“You can’t have more than 10 HS decks because that would confuse people”
“30 fps is more cinematic”

Except that’s not a handicap it’s designed to work that way.
It scales much much lower for solo players so that people who aren’t good enough to do it in a group can still finish it.
The difficult challenge they talked about was doing it in a full group of 5. If you want to experience that then go do it. But doing the easy mode and then complaining about how easy it is, is kind of silly…

lame excuse? I do not control Anet’s implementation of instances, I just play optimally.
I like Jennifer Hale a lot personally.

did I miss the part where 5 people needed to go in and tank and kill all the mobs instead of using the exact same strat?
I was sure that in a full party, those mobs you’re taking out are Vets. Almost everything are vets and 1 or 2 levels higher. The event clearly scales with numbers.
So Bronze is considered a perfect score?
Many people seem to forget or just plain overlook the fact there is in fact two parts to this instance.
1. Stop them from stealing your goal. (which you so proved can be done solo on tier 4)
and ……
2. Kill 50 enemies to get the gold award. (which you seem to forget to do on your “perfect run”)
So .. yay for finishing tier 4, but you can pull perfect from the title of the thread.

This. ^
Any class can solo T4 doing what you did. Some are even better at it. Now try soloing T4 while also getting 50+ kills.

Ooh BURN!
Still found the vid useful.
I could care less about perfect scores, just want to get this grindfest over with ASAP.

Well soloing Lupicus isn’t playing optimally, but some people do it for the challenge. Yes, the implementation is poor, but it’s not a reason to call tier 4 easy.

where do you see me state that this is guardian exclusive? I’m afraid killing the vets is not an option by the way.

soloing Lupi and doing everything right is playing optimally in the context of a solo run. you were referring to my strategy but now you switched to talking about me soloing. poor logic.

they are not vets, they are lvl 80/81(afaik both can spawn) normal mobs with more hp to accomodate more people bashing them.
I soloed this today on my Ranger… it’s easy once you know how :P
this event scales if you’re alone or with a group
people are always going to take the easiest path deliberately. I didn’t. I handicapped myself going solo rofl.
I say rofl to you thinking that going in solo is deliberately handicapping yourself when it’s the easiest way to do that instance. ^^ You also camped spawn points and ran to the back of the island.. not exactly playing it the way it’s meant to be played… though that’s the fault of the devs really, not yours. But, I see nothing to brag about here unfortunately. :/

who the kitten decides how it’s meant to be played? you? btw with a proper team it’s easier to 5man. chain cc, buffs etc etc. where did you see me brag?
When they previewed it, they said it was a challenge mission where people could rank each other based on tier and kills. I’m a little surprised they didn’t release leaderboards with it.

Candidate Trials tier 4 solo perfect…
Bronze Score at end…
solo perfect…
Bronze…
perfect…
Bronze.
perfect
Bronze, instead of Gold. Rofl…
Not sure what world you are living in, but Bronze is not perfect. You just failed hard. Perfect means you did everything right, not just some of the things.

Yep misleading title. Nothing to see here, thanks for wasting almost 9 minutes of our time.

No not really, poor reading comprehension. I never mentioned YOU soloing. I said “soloing Lupicus” as an example of what people looking for a challenge might want to do. If you were looking for a challenge too, you’d avoid camping the spawn points and possibly try to get at least silver.
What I’m trying to say ( excuse my poor english ) is that you can’t use a cheap strategy, get bronze and call the content easy. Get gold, try to actually fight a bunch of enemies and succeed, then call the content easy.
And no, I’m not blaming you for that “shortcut”. It’s something Arenanet should’ve prevented.

not my fault that you can’t skip vids. basically skipping to end to see score and tier would suffice if you cba to see it all. also since when do people care about kills? brb let’s clear all of arah otherwise you’re a disgrace to humanity
Since when a score was given based on number of kills in a timed challenge

Not my fault if you have no idea what a perfect score means. Grats for bragging that content is too easy after getting Bronze. Moving on.
Bronze is perfect?

I don’t get it.
The people who are saying you didn’t achieve perfection are right.
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
I didn’t watch the vid but I think by perfect he means none of the treasure got taken.

Well in all fairness your post and video probably would have been better received without boasting things like perfect and other boastful statements when indeed the title of your post did not match the accomplishment. Perhaps if you had provided it as more of a walk through/tutorial video it would have resulted in less aggressive responses.
The video seemed like a microcosm of dungeon play in GW2. Kill only the mobs that matter, use leashing and terrain to reset mobs and shed aggro, use high DPS to burn targets quickly, and avoid dangerous attacks.
Also, let’s not forget the ancillary skills displayed.
Ability to isolate and target the appropriate mobs smoothly, when many who play the game would be tabbing endlessly through everything while the Plunderer ran past them.
Split-second timing on use of heal skill, when many who play the game would be in mid-cast when downed.
I’ll agree with Pull’s basic point here, which is that the victory condition allows players to ignore most of the mobs, and that obtaining that victory was not hard — for him. I would have preferred different victory conditions, maybe something more along the line of challenge missions in GW, where you did have to kill them all.
