Snagged this as soon as it was released.

From merely 5 minutes of spam-clicking this item I noticed the buffs start out at 15 minutes each… but they stack. So I’m guessing I can keep spamming this and get 8 hrs worth of, say, for example – the WvW buff? Maybe more…

…feel free to discuss this new item. Do you think it’s worth the gems?

EDIT: The picture failed to show my cursor hovering over the WvW experience buff which was sitting at just over 2 hours. That in a matter of minutes.

Update: Indeed, the WvW buff is the most common one so far.

300 gems, seems like a nice purchase. Also it seems to have like a 75% to turn you into something rather than give random buffs. I think it is better than most boosters except for the birthday one.

At work at the moment so cant check it out yet, but from what i’ve read this seems an excellent item. Will be getting 2 tonight when i get home as i will gift one to my friend to.

I bought one also. It does seem to heavily favor the transformations and you don’t get to choose which buff you can get but I noticed they were stacking. Trying it out, I got a nice 15% speed boost, karma, exp, and WvW boosts. (I didn’t look for other boosts past that).

If enough people buy this it will make a nice sink for candy corn.

most times it gives WvW 50% experience boost and you can easily stack that up to 3 hours quick if you just use it while running anyway

you can also transform into Spooky Ghost !!!
that tonic is usually uuuuuultra rare!

you never need to buy buffs from gemshop anymore (in case you ever did before which would be a waste of money too xD)
because you can just use it a few times until you get the buff you want

and i almost best that anet changes it since it gives access to buffs too easily….

That makes it almost a must have item for any player looking to level wvw ranks….which idk how I feel about.

Doesn’t it consume three candy corn per use? It’s plentiful now, but after Halloween is over you’re going to run out of candy corn pretty quickly if you keep spamming that device, no?

Watch it end up being a bug and not intended for people to spam it for buffs. I’d personally hold off on buying it until you get confirmation as to whether it is intended or not

Edit: Looks like it is. I guess they’re tryjng to give candy corn some value for after Nov 4th.

candy corn should have enough of a faucet to soft cap the price… and for like 3 stacks you can get maybe 8 hours of wvw boost. the cost of a wvw booster is what.. …wow 500 gems for 5 hours, thats like 60g if gem prices settle some? 3 stacks of candy corn was like 12g at highest through the year.

seems like if you ever bought one 5 pack of wvw boosts, you would be far better off with this item than you would have with that single 5 pack.

there has to be a bug with the rates…

Do the buffs from the Gobbler stack in effect or duration with booster buffs?

If I have a gemstore armor buff, will the gobbler either add to it in effect or make it last longer before expiring? What about magic find? If I get magic find from a bonfire, will this make the MF las longer or increase my total MF?

If you get the same buff from the gobbler it extends the duration of existing buffs making them last longer.

This item is awesome and they didt overprice it only 300gems ;D
