If it is afternoon you are likely in EU- and yes peak times are usually between 7-9 ish at night.
I see many people on during the day non the less so you should not have trouble finding someone- why not use GW2LFG?
They are working on an in game LFG tool but since it is not here now- you might as well use the options available to you.

Ye well, i have tried in a group of 4 people.. it was 10x harder then solo…
But i thought a dev said in a promo video of this that u NEED to have a party or you wont make it.
But with a party you cant make it lol

The scaling on the achievement makes it harder for groups than solo. If you can’t solo it, you probably can’t be part of a group that can beat it.
Some people asked for harder content. Anet is giving it to them.
True, but the game has become a achievement grind game now with these rewards and temp. content.
If it was permanent content the achievements were fine, so u can take 1 week off and try then again ( less frustration ).
Now it feels like.. i MUST do this achievement FAST! Or else i dont get points and i never get the new gear..

How is it an achievement grind game? You don’t need the rewards from achievements. If you want the gold bonuses, you’re better off getting gold via farming than working towards the next chest (you’ll spend less time farming gold than farming achievements).
All of the achievements are optional. If you must get the next achievement, that’s your choice.
The whole “this game is now an achievement grind game” logic is the same as “I MUST GET A LEGENDARY BUT Y SO HARDZ ZZZZzzzzzzz” logic.
And now? I just completed T3.. then i went to 4.. i finished it in Bronse!! AND ACHIEVEMENT DIDNT COMPLETE loooooooooooooooooool

Hopefully you finished T1 and T2 first. Otherwise the T3 and T4 won’t count.

You don’t need the icon to get the Achievement, you can even get the Evon achievement by supporting Kiel. Sounds like a weird bug. Worked like a charm for everyone I know
Did the tier 3 and 4 now for Evon, finally this time it succes.
And guess what, i want to do Kiel.
I do T1, T2 in a row.. get first achievement.
Then i want to talk to the NPC.. And he only say,, do it again, take it down a notch, take it down 2 notches.. But nothing to goto T3 lol.

Plenty of people doing these on Gunnars Hold (EU). Never seen an issue getting a group
Which challenge did you do Evon or Kiel? There is no achievement set for Evon for these, hence why it is considerably easier to complete.
