Guild Wars 2

hey all i wanted to know when will we be able to go to cantha like in guild wars one . That place was amazing .

i heard that Anet will never add cantha or elona , that we will always stay in tyria that they will only do living story , no expansions no new continent

anyone can tell me why ?

Elona; Unknown, unlikely on the horizon though. There is a lot to be done in Tyria (continental), so maybe in a few years.

There is a good chance of neither though, since everyone would flock there and leave Tyria desolate. Unlike GW1, this is open world and I cant see the devs wanting to leave an entire continent abandoned.

At present, no expansion is announced.
But, only add game feature with LS doesn’t mean that we’ll never gonna see cantha/elona.
So far, they focus on tyria (there’s still a lot unavalable). With LS2, they’ll probably open new(s) area(s) (or they gonna be in big trouble with a lot of players ^^).

Don’t lose hope, I’m sure they are planning on add cantha and elona, just not in a close futur. But they still have to open magus fall, deldrimor front, ring of fire, cristal desert and so much more. You juste have to open your map to see that there are a lot of non-playable areas in tyria.

PS: I also want cantha so bad, jade sea was so beautyful

screw cantha I want Elona. Why? because asian theme’s in games like this are far overdone and I liked the egytian/africanish/middleastern theme of Elona something which is NOT done in game’s like this very much if at all it’s diffrent when nightfall came out I could not stop playing it because the setting was much diffrent and I liked it much better story all round than faction’s.

With that said LS2 BETTER be opening up Magumma wastes as in that whole entire side of the map. And I am HOPING they bring the white mantle back since I beleave they where hiding in that area if I remember correctly. This game started off so awesome and while I have mixed feelings about Living story all round I REALLY hope that they start bringing out other places and opening the world up more.

I don’t see them adding an expansion any time soon. Probably more of the living story stuff. I’d greatly prefer it if they did actually add in some real content instead of all the temporary fluff.

As long as we can have more to explore im happy if cantha or elona would come back id be super happy lol hope they do something good with LS2

You are not paying attention on Anet posts at all.There wont be temporary content anymore (except halloween event and such).Every release from now on is permanent content,every LS release is permanent content.Inform yourself first pls before you write this stuff.Read Anet post about LS season 2 and journal.
