Lunar festival is based on a Canthan festival. The dragon, ram and monkey were also based on canthan legends in prior years.

Randulf is right. We have NPCs in DR that from day one have been going on about their grandma’s Canthan recipes they’d kill to taste again. That hasn’t been a hint, just in game lore that Cantha once was reachable and now is not.

The most solid hint has been the world map on the Hidden Arcana library floor that does include Cantha along with places brand new to everyone. Even so, this is very much not a breath-holder.

Returning to Elona and Cantha in GW2, now that would be REAL expansion packs, Anet,

you know…I always thought going to canthi/elona was the next step but who is to say that we cannot go someplace wildly different like janthir and beyond in a totally new direction with a totally new story arc?

Yeah janthir sounds good too. There’s a lot of undiscovered space left to explore if you press M.
I also really liked the story and feel of elona and cantha, so that would be great too.
