The only reason why the airship is there is do to the LS season 1 content when Lion’s Arch got attack.
If Lion’s Arch ever gets fully rebuilt in the near future I strongly think the Airship will get removed.
Kill stuff to unlock weapons skills, most confusing thing I ever heard of. (sarcasm)

The Airship will never get removed, as that would void a lot of expensive gem store purchases people have made, and annoy a lot of people. It may move elsewhere, though.
I hope they do move it someday. Seems a waste to have it just sit there.
What’s the big deal with these passes? I got couple of the two-weeks permits, but I have yet to use them.

The permanent one was available in the gem store for 1 week. I really hope it goes back on sale someday, gets a bit lonely up there sometimes.

i should have phrased better: why do you need a 1000gems item that you can get for free with one wp to lion’s arch? i mean, it doesn’t even fall into the “convenience item” bracket.

Everything is right next to each other, it’s quite a long walk from mystic forge to guild bank in LA, for example.
