Cathedral of Eternal Radiance
its fun when you can get the people on the map to coordinate.
My problem with it is the golem area. A lot of people will not cooperate with you on that because they want the event to fail so they can farm the sparks, not accomplish the intended goal.

Well that sucks… I can understand it failing once just to see what the other event would be, but not a continuous fail.
It’s an event chain in a war setting. It was not meant to be soloed. Complete the game means you can get to 80 solo, and do all but the final mission in your personal story solo. It does not mean that you can do all of the game’s content solo.
That said, some of the Orr Temple clears, especially on lesser-populated servers, are not being done regularly. Perhaps if the rewards for such things were considerably greater than for the simple DE’s (Plinx, I’m looking at you), people would be more inclined to do them.
Yeah the Cathedrals are never taken over i can never get the karma gear i wanted for that particular place. Ive been waiting for months now.
The temples in Orr are quite a challenge. In the past 2 weeks I have been in 2 groups that have opened 2 of the temples. Balthazar took 25 to 30 people, Lyssa took 8 to 10. We had tried Balthazar a few times previously and failed. Late in the day I saw people announce another attack on Balthazar so I waypointed over and joined in. This time we took it. For the Lyssa temple, I was just doing map completion and a party asked me to join. I didn’t even know they were doing the temple capture. The Lyssa temple took over an hour and was epic with this small of a group. Holding the outside positions and attacking the center with 8 to 10 players isn’t easy. At the end I had an inventory full of loot and a piece of armor from each temple. It is this kind of gameplay that makes GW2 enjoyable and memorable for me. I could buy armor off the TP, I can and do craft armor, or my party could fight hordes of risen for it. Somehow option 3 makes it mean more. Even though I have PVT armor from Ascolonian Catacombs, I intend to keep the 2 Orr temple PVT pieces. The other night running FotM a party member asked what armor I was wearing. I said Ascolonian Catacombs, crafted Knight’s Draconian, and 2 pieces of Orr temple armor.
I am in the final stories of my class story, I have to say running around cursed shores was a miserable experiance solo. Trying to get to one story area from another was annoying as you could not go more than a few yards with yet another group pull of 2 – 3 mobs. Now I would not mind so much but the fact also was that way points were so contested that I could not pick them up on the way through, I also died a couple of times and had to start back to a way point so far back each time that this quickly became a chore not a game. Now I like a challenge, but fighting mobs every step of the way for little or no in game rewards sucks.
The 2 issues as I see it:
1. This zone was freaking empty, I did see the odd player but for the most part, events went on with no players and many of them were impossible to do solo as mob respawns for a solo player made it impossible.
2. Wall to Wall mobs, battling every step of the way could be OK if there were some worthy loot. At the very least up the copper that drops. At least enough to cover way points and repair.
my 2 copper peciecs, well if they drop I would put that in.
