Celestial Vs Berserker

It doesn’t ,matter, it’s Guild Wars 2.
Someone would be so lovely to explain why Celestial good at all?
It looked like to me like a 14/14/14/14/14 trait distribution. Good at nothing, but at least not bad.
Celestial will suffer a huge nerf in damage, becouse probably its higher critical damage will be lowered to have Ferocity in the same amount of all the other stats. (now is like twice or more the other stats).
In return all the stats will be boosted by a small amount.
So not only less dmg becouse those stats point will be shared but also less useful becouse those stats point will be aslo add to healing power and malice which aren’t as useful as the other stats (pow/prec/fer/vit/toug)

By now celestial is pretty good only for builds which have:
- Mainly power based direct damage attack, no condition weapons (you wanna use that high crit dmg)
- With a lot of healing sources (if not you would use a mix of soldier/berserker)
- and still which applies damaging conditions (same reason)
So Guardians and elementalists, and not for pve

I run a decent celestial build on my warrior sometimes when roaming in wvw.
around 3k attack and armor, 60% crit chance and damage, 60% condi duration, 25k health and good condi damage and healing power (healing signet/adrenal health). I use perplexity runes for extra confusion to make use of condi stats and the cc i have.
Its a very good and balanced build, most people struggle to find a weakness in it before i kill them.

Well, actually celestial might end up nerfed much harder than berserker in terms of crit dmg. When you compare the crit damage/stats ratio you will notice that celestial has the same or even more crit dmg than berserker. This means it has a lot more relative stats in form of crit dmg than the rest of its stats imply. When the ferocity is nerfed to the same level as all the other stats it will lose much more damage than berserker.
It is also important to note that even soldiers gear outdamages celestial. You can manage a break even when stacking might/fury a lot. In order to actually profit from celestial your profession also needs access to damaging conditions and needs to scale well with healing power. So this gear applies mostly to elementalists in my opinion.
I was using it on my support-minded characters as a passable way of getting some healing power and some damage stats, but now that Zealot/Keeper gear exists I’ve been trying that out and been fairly satisfied with the results.
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”
