So I am wondering what is a good way to get Central Tyria experience points to level up those masteries. I have done fractals (terrible xp), dungeons (also pretty bad), events (not much xp either) and world exploration (not bad just slow).
Any suggestions would be welcome as I spent the last three hours doing different things and all of them gave me only 10% of the mastery level (Legendary Crafting 1 which needs only 1.3mil xp). And yes, I have been using boosters such as food and xp boost.

Use your LFG tool to find a party doing COF Mastery Farm. Ask questions when you join, so you know what’s going on. It’s boring, but you can grind out Central Tyria masteries quickly this way. Essentially, it’s a way to fight an endlessly respawning horde of basic mobs.

Some players are saying that this is an exploit, but as far as I know, ANet is aware of the practice and has not said or done anything to stop it or condemn the practice.

Well killing mobs does sound fun but it does sound like an exploit, and don’t want to be banned for it. Though thanks for the suggestion.

I’ve been doing Silverwastes (do events, not just Vinewrath), and popping experience boosters at Tequatl (since I go there once or twice per day anyway). Some people I met in-game who had 20+ mastery points spent after 2 days said Cursed Shore events is the way to go- just make sure you have a weapon with good aoe, such as guardian staff (so many people are there now, you blink and everything is dead).

At teq- you’re getting the 3 defense events + possible 3 more (I usually end up with bronze reward from defending the megalaser as well as N-E or W battery)… So 3-6 events plus the kill xp (which seems to reward as a few events?). It is worth going at least once per day IMO, and with boosters I get a nice chunk of my xp bar filled.

You wouldn’t be banned, it’s not an exploit as the game is functioning as intended, otherwise people who fail Orr temples on purpose are “exploiting”. It’s a flaw in game design you won’t be banned for it.

Otherwise Cursed Shore is the 2nd best place to grind out Tyra masteries followed by SW

I love SW for events. You are in one or another practically all the time. I do Teq a lot but it does not have the best xp/time ratio … for 4 events (any/all of them can fail) it may seem like 15 minutes but you really need to be there at least half an hour before it starts to get a good map.

Right now I am leveling my revenant and decided to only tome her to 55. She gained 4 levels last night just in the mad king’s labyrinth. Unfortunately that method is bugged for mastery xp.

I wanted to thank the OP for posting this and everyone kittenponded. I also did not understand how to level Central Tyria. I have playing my main in the new maps and loving it.

But with your tips, I think I will do SW on a few of my alts to level Central Tyria at same time.
