If I am only level 7 can I experience SouthSun content? If so how do I get there?

You can access it via Lion’s Arch, there is a portal near the FotM dungeon.

Southsun is a lvl 80 zone but usually you get scale up during Living Story Events. But lvl 7 should be way to low to enjoy the content.

It should scale you up to level 80 when you go there.

I just hit 80 for the first time last night, however, was playing around in Southsun earlier in the week. My level was shown as 80 with an up arrow, indicating it had scaled me up.

That said, at level 7, even being scaled to 80, you would probably find it quite difficult.

Ok thanks for the replies. Also, is there a way to track live story content like this in game? Like seeing why an event is happening etc….

There are NPCS in each city that are marked as “Living Story” characters who can give some details about where to go and who to talk to, but I don’t know how much info they have this time around. The first story ran from Jan-April and they weren’t much help.

Just be aware that when the current event finished (when the Secrets of Southsun Cove box disappears from the activity list in the top right corner) you won’t be up-scalled any more so you won’t be able to go back to Southsun until you hit level 80 (or they do another Living Story chapter there).

Ahh ok so if I don’t get to this content now then I can still get to it later on? That makes it less stressful then.

No, the Living Story content is not permanent, it goes away as soon as the current story arc ends. If you don’t get it done before that happens you don’t have any chance of experiencing it, ever.

Southsun Cove however stays, it probably will change slightly due to the effects of the Living Story, but the zone will stay.

The zone itself will stay, along with many of the events but the Living Story content – the achievements in the Secrets of Southsun Cove category, the items they award and the events and NPCs related to them will disappear.

Ahh man ok I see how its done. Well it sucks that I am so low level but I guess that just the way it goes.

I went to SouthSun with a few friends right after we rolled some alts, so we were all level 2, and we were able to survive there but not very well. You would greatly benefit from having a higher level teaming up with you if you go. But you can certainly do it!
