Champ Buff --> Defiance
interesting Idea except that this only really encourages groups to “CC” away defiance and then refrain from using any forms of CC to maintain an advantage for the remainder of the fight.
You’d still need to change the way Defiance is applied/removed and add “cool down” periods in between, or something similar to really change how players and combat work with the buff.

I think we need more stuff like the dredge fractal final boss’s heal ability, where you absolutely need to CC it.
I hate defiance. this suggestion would not make it any better.
personally, I think everything about enemy npcs should scale relative to their rank and how many players are nearby. higher the scale, lower the effect of cc. so with 40 players, that 3 sec stun becomes 0.075 second delay (wouldn’t interrupt an attack, but would slow it down), for example.

i hate that defiance.
ccing easily telegraphed and very slow 1-shot mechanics is why they added it.
it was a lazy way to attack this problem………keep the one-shot boss attack mechanic and not add variety to their attack patterns……but making it actually more of a danger to players would cause some to stop pressing 1 and maybe hit a cc skill.
so i’d take the OP’s suggestion. it would be easy to do….so they might do it.
