Champion loot table needs work imo.
Champions and for that matter veterans never gave me any better loot than what i had gotten from normal mobs either. All the rare drops had been from normal mobs. I have never gotten an exotic drop in any case though. So maybe its just my luck.

I think exotics can only be crafted but I might be wrong.
Besides I don’t expect exotics from champions, just better loot than what they drop now. Small chance of rare’s even, high chance of greens. The chance of greens is too low and no drop is too common.
Seems like another risk vs. reward issue, because as far as I can tell Champs/Vets/Etc. have the same loot tables as normal mobs. So basically, if they’re not the target for a DE then they’re just a big, annoying obstacle that’s there for no reason other than taking a long time to kill.
The only place where I’ve seen a difference with this is WvWvW, where the camp supervisor/tower/keep lord has a tiny chance to drop siege BPs or Badges.

Yep, all the loot tables feel close to the same.
That reminds me, I always see a huge swarm of players battling a champion snow troll in Frostgorge all the time, and I always wonder why when they could be farming the snow trolls in the back (competing against bots of course, but you get what you can).

Most of the time they’re guarding a rich metal vein, a chest or a field of strawberries or some such. At least in my experience.
