What I’m supposed to do with a Fractal Rifle on my Guardian? It’s Account Bound, granted, but I do not foresee myself playing classes that use it.
I mean, don’t get me wrong. It’s not like RNG is bad.
But everything has to have it’s bounds.
If I’m a Guardian, make a lottery out of weapon choices that I can use. No Rifles, No Axes, No Spears and No Daggers please. You get what I’m talking about here.
Alternatively, you can let player’s choose a fractal weapon(Ascended Weapon Chest for example), mix RNG with Guaranteed(Pristine Fractal Relics now can be used to buy skins, they can still drop) or make them tradeable – just like legendaries are.

Well i was in the same position as you. Used to play only my ranger and after getting several fractal skins that I couldn’t use on my main I decided to make some alts to actually use those skins. And as it turns out I now have 5 lvl 80s that I use on a daily basis to a wide variety of content.

And making them tradeable is a bad idea since they are one of the few exclusive skins out there.

I’ve had many PvP weapons from AP chests that a certain class can’t use and yet it’s soulbound…it can never be used so delete is all you can do. Pointless.

@yorick: you can “deposit collectibles” with your pvp skins and retrieve them with another char that can use them.

If only weapons that you can use are ever dropped then I’d imagine a lot of necros would have serious trouble getting daggers.

I really wish Anet would consider a trade system for these ascended items. Either gold or trade for items you could use. I was kucky enough to find several ascended items, but the last 2 items I have no use for. The armour is not usefull for any of my chars and the trinket I found also has no stats i would want. So I am lucky I got them, unlucky that i cant use them. Collecting dust in my chest now.
