Guild Wars 2

Hello!

I just wanted to create this topic because today when creating a new character i noticed that sylvari thief looks dope and i have a norn thief. My question is: Can you change race after creating the character, my thief is 80 but i want sylvari but i don’t feel like lvling a new one. If there’s no “change race” option is there something guild wars 2 might add and would you like it ?

Personally i think they should, becuase i want to change my thief to sylvari, i didn’t notice how good looking thief male sylvari was until now.

You can change your hairdo, gender, and name, but you can’t change your race…just like IRL.

There is no option to do that. And, while it would be a nice thing, there are just too many other variables to make it work (Personal Story differences being a major one) without something going wrong.

It has been confirmed by a dev that this will never be an option, as it would open a brand new can of worms, especially regarding personal story.

Yea i was thinking of personal story, would be nice thing to have though. I am not satisfied with how my norn thief turned out

You don’t have any tomes and writs? You get 10 tomes a month and several writs a day just for logging in and doing dailies.

I spend them on my other characters i want to be 80, i only have 2 80’s at the moment and working on engi & necro so i give them all the xp!

It doesn’t take that long to get to 80. People go to the EOTM and level fast there. However you play, use all the buffs you can get. Fireworks give you 10% XP on everything you do, including crafting so if you use fireworks and then craft you’ll get more XP from crafting. In PvE, several of the Halloween foods give 15% extra XP per kill and even the cheapest tonic gives 10% per kill. If you have any boosters, use those. Kill all the yellow mobs as they usually have a lot of extra XP and do any event you come across. Doing all that gives a lot of XP and it’s possible to level quite quickly.

Yea i know, but like i said in the previous post, i only have 5 slot and i want other characters to play, reason i wanted the “change race option” =) I just have to stick with my norn, find a nice set of armor and go from there!

I get the vanity, I’m a stickler for my mogs as well. But I do like the Femnorns, cause it’s like playing a hot UFC fighter like Ronda Rousey. Hahaha!
