Q:

I bought a new GW2 account in the sale and the server i wanted to join was full so i joined a different one. I have heard rumours that if you delete all of your characters you can change server for free, is this true? If it is true will you keep all of the items in your bank, your gold, materials karma and stuff when you change server or will you lose all of this stuff?

Thanks.

A:

Yes, just make sure you put everything in your bank first from all characters on your account. All wallet items and other account accomplishments will remain as well. Keep in mind with full servers you will have to wait for an opening to transfer to them no matter if you pay to transfer or do so for free by deleting characters.

Be aware that you will lose any soul-bound items, as you will not be able to interact with them (other than destroying them) after deleting characters. Thus, sell them or salvage them (if possible) first.

Also, there is a 7-day cool-down between transfers (including the first one).

Good luck on your new server!
