Can the Channel time be halved, at least? It’s longer than a normal gathering tool purchased for silver. I got the original sickle when it came out and it’s significantly faster than consumable sickles, so why is the flute so significantly longer?

I’ve noticed this as well. You get the harvested material quickly enough so you can just run off mid channel if you are at one node. But if you are gathering several nodes next to each other you have to wait out a long channel, I think about the same time as three mines or three woodcuts, before you can harvest the next node.

It could be they’re allowing enough time for the tune to play, but frequently the music’s over and the bar’s still going. I’d greatly appreciate a truncation of the cast time.

Agreed. I kind of regret buying the thing, and would tell anyone else not to until this is fixed.

Unlimited gathering tools are a convenience item, they shouldn’t be more inconvenient than a normal one.
