;) It’s pretty easy to get them now in GW1, though, as long as you’re not afraid of some grind. And yes, they’re dyeable. Changing the dye gives the gloves a slight hint of the color, and the aura around them changes to the dye color.

It’s the glow that is dyeable. The gloves themselves stay white, but you can get fairly vivid greens, blues, reds, and golds from the right dyes. At least on the mined link preview, which usually is the same as when the item comes in game but one should never assume datamining reflects reality 100%.

Be careful out there, kids.

They definitely open up some options for heavy armor professions who don’t have much in the way of gloves (as opposed to gauntlets).

And they work well if you were already using chaos weapons .

I quite like it.

Now we need mainhand focus for some classes for dual wield Anomalies.

Never where my thing in GW, but seeing them in GW2 gives me hope that more GW skins will make there way over to GW2. Then when the ones I like/want make there way(if ever) ANet can “shut up and take my money”

What a boring way to add them back into the game. You really couldnt make them a craftable recipe or mystic forge? Something to give them a little prestige? Nah just grab at more money for GW1 nostalgia.

Yah, you’re allowed to state that you don’t like something and you didn’t say anything about the OP, just that the gloves look weird. It’s not necesary or even wanted that all posts be positive. ANet needs to see dissenting posts also to get a true idea if people like or don’t like something.

If I didn’t like them I would certainly post to say so, and it would not be reasonable for someone to try to shut me down, or you down for that matter.

I hope the destroyer gloves return, albeit I think I’d prefer to earn those ones. I felt quite satisfied when my ele finally got his gloves after many runs protecting that baby dragon..

Look, I did not say “that kitten sucks”, I said it looked weird. Yes, I was too brief but I still don’t see how it’s rude. Also, negative feedback is useful too. Don’t forget that we got last week’s amazing update because of the honest opinions about HoT (that happened to be negative most of the time).

Also, I was the only one who was not fond of the gloves, so it was obvious.

I don’t think mea was being rude. So, please, let’s stop the fight over nothing and enjoy the shinies (or not enjoy them, if you don’t particularly care for them).

These are really amazing and look FANTASTIC on sylvari, especially if you match them up to their glow color.

I never could bring myself to part with that many ectos for gloves in GW1. Wasn’t sure if I liked how they look either (then, or now). We’ll see.

In game I’ve already seen a completely bright-neon-green charr a couple of times… and during/after wintersday I saw characters transformed into giant neon-red snowballs that burned the retinas….

…so, at this point I think it wouldn’t shock me or my gpu all that much.

It’s amazing what we can get acclimated to, lol.

I honestly didn’t want to cause such a huge drama. Awkward. :s I should have explained “weird” in my first post: the bright textures don’t really match anything else in the game (maybe those achievement skins – I forgot the name – but I went with the Hellfire set). The gloves are not ugly, I just find them hard to work with because they are weirdly bright… Edit: I can’t work with the Chaos weapon skins either! XD

Seriously? This thread became a he said/she said argument, because someone shared an opinion? Yet the comment wasn’t rude, wasn’t negative, didn’t call someone who liked the gloves a name, or impugn the reputation of those who choose to wear them. If someone had done any of those things, we’d hope that a forum member would report it using the handy flag to the right of every post.

But in this case, someone simply indicated that they weren’t a fan of that particular item, and really, that’s ok. While I personally wouldn’t have posted because I would not see such a comment as making any sort of valid contribution, the comment wasn’t acceptable, and it sure as heck wasn’t worthy of a whole argument!

welcome to the forums… where people just love to bandwagon the qq train, smash on everyones opinion while thinking their own is perfect in every way, find excuses about everything and ofc, throw hate on everything thats good as well as bad…

All for no apparent reason besides bitterness, cynicism, sarcasm and ofc having nothing better to do than analyze every single word someone said quote and bash it to bits.
