I am a very new player to this game.

So far I have played around with all classes for sometime (only like level 10 though).

I would like to know which class I should use my boost ?.

I am thinking of choosing Mesmer/Necromancer/Thief for my boost as I believe they are all a lil too squishy (have played them only till like 8 or so).

Do any of these get better at 80 or they stay squishy even at that level ?

All classes get significantly better at 80 once traits and proper armour is unlocked.

I would advise against using a boost if you are new though. The difference between 8 and 80 is large and you risk causing more confusion if you haven’t gotten used to the game the traditional way.

Mesmer particularly benefits from levelling more traditionally since it is a more complex class than some of the others and you will benefit from gradually unlocking and learning.

Personally I think you should level at least 1 character to 80 normally so you can learn key parts of game play. That said, you can test any profession you want with the 80 boost without committing to it.

Here is Anet’s tutorial on how to use the boost you may want to review before testing/using it:

necro is actually tied to warrior as the class with the most HP and they have minions to tank for them as well and they also have a separate health bar, so they can survive quite well, though the class itself isn’t exactly in a great spot atm, if you want to have an easier time accessing higher tier pve content then this is not the class for you.

It will not remove the boost until it is consumed. You are safe

The boost is not time limited. Take your time and use it when ready.
