Charged Lodestones Re upload
Doing map rewards for the appropriate maps. This addition is also why they have tanked in price over the past few months. With that being said, generally it is just best to buy the bulk of what you need.

Yep, run the specific map events to get your lodestones. Use any non-lodestone drops to fund buying more. You’ll be surprised how quickly you will get what you need if you focus that way.

So if i need 350 how long do you think this would take?

that’s very subjective…. depends on how long your farming session is per day…. might take you more than a month, even if you do it everyday….

I try running Silverwaste at least twice a day and I save up 50 bags and open them on a low level character. I have a level 25, 31, and 54 and they’re for the t2, t3, and t4 mats needed for making an Elonian leather square (it’s more profitable to sell bolt of Damask parts individually than making a bolt) while still selling spiritwood planks and Deldrimor steel ingots. I’ll also PvP on my lowbies especially the druid and revenant and that gives some mats.
As someone who didn’t take long crafting the gift of bolt I think the strategy is sound. You just have to do the same thing but for a longer period of time. A charged lodestone dropped from a dust mite in Silverwaste for me yesterday though I don’t actively farm the things.
Currently I am out to make Mjolnir the hammer. I really like the look and prefer it even over The Juggernaut. However I have noticed that the amount of Charged Lodestones needed is well a lot. I was wondering what the best way to get these would be farming/making wise.
I always recommend that people do the content they like and buy stuff on the TP. It’s far easier to save up (by spending a bit less on minor luxuries) and you’ll enjoy the time you spend in game a lot more. (‘Obsessive farming’ leads to burn out and burn out is the gateway drug to /rage quitting, which leads to lots of strangers asking, “can I have your stuff?”)
(Of course, some people just like DIY, in which case I strongly recommend not rushing things; that sucks the fun out of do-it-yourself.)
Also, use one of the various TP websites to determine if it’s more cost effective to promote cores (or below) or buy lodes directly.
e.g. GW2 Black Lion Trading Company
One easy way to save up is to put in crazy low buy offers for the desired item. For charged lodes, the current buy offers are ~2g, so put in offers for ~1g. That (a) hides your gold from yourself (so you don’t spend it) and (b) keeps you from worrying too much about it too often. Plus, if you get lucky, sudden market shifts can end up letting you get a bunch on the cheap. I saved 50% on the pre-HoT price of a precursor because of my ridiculously low offer happened to be the high offer for all of 20-30 minutes.
tl;dr spend less on other things to fund purchase from the TP — it’s more fun in the long run
If you have the mastery and spare karma lying around http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pact_Scout's_Mapping_Materials is useful. Just buy these daily and use them on the map giving charged lodestones as rewards or save them up and wait until they are available as rewards. The best time to do it is when Frostgorge Sound has Vials of Powerful Blood, Charged Lodestone and Giant Eye for the rewards.
