Don’t mind me, just setting out on the 30 day process of crafting a set of Celestial armour by charging some quartz.

We have this issue raised every so often and yet its still with us, for no apparent reason. Here is my hope that, perhaps, someone will notice this time and remove the daft time-sink that is an entire month of delay to make armour that is, apparently, far from overpowered or troublesome.

So, how about letting us make more than one charged quartz a day – pretty please anet?

I love it how the same topic comes in waves. Think this is the third thread on time gated mats focusing on quartz, within two days and are still active.

I going to assume that there is some rumor that Celestial is going to be the new meta.

OriOri has the most reasonable solution.

I have a reason to keep the timegate. I sometimes craft a grow lamp to sell and that timegate is the only thing that makes it worthwhile.
I assume you know about the handy place in Queensdale where you can charge a crystal in a few tens of seconds? It’s not the end of the world to have to do that for 30 days.

I’m glad I started charging quartz in my home instance long ago. Now, it is only the other 1/day ascended ingredients slowing down ascended armor. But I’m okay with that, no hurry. I’ve finished a heavy set and three pieces of medium, so am about half way through the ascended achievement. After those, will most likely only craft exotics.

I would like charged quartz to be tradable, since my alt accounts get it from the node and have nothing to do with it.

No, its not hard to charge a crystal each day. But its annoying and pointless to gate celestial gear behind a month long wait to charge 30 crystals since they aren’t tradeable. 30 days of waiting just to see if you like a new stat combo or not, and that is a problem imo.

The timegate should stay but they should be made tradeable

Like OriOri’s suggestion.

Another alternative would be to make the Celestial stuff require less charged quartz per piece. So instead of 5, perhaps 1-2-3. Though they might have to upp the amount of Quartz to be used to make one that way. Say 100 to make 1 charged quartz, and the receipt only needs 1.

Personally am mostly done with the charged stuff, got 4 ascended celstial armors, and a pile of weapons, so don’t have much use of it any longer. Would like to charge to sell though.
