The charr players (Medium and Heavy armour wearers) are being neglectad again.

The new luminescent armour…. The Light version is fine but it stopps there.
Heavy: Tailclipping + a helm that Cuts horns, ears and hair…. Just sad!!!!
Medium: Another coat that tailclipps…..

Why do this to medium and Heavy armours when u CAN do a nice work with the tail as u have done for the light armour!!!???

Plz stop doing this – it leaves me with nothing to wear – and I guess I’m not alone.

Plz show u’r support if u agree….

It is sad indeed Especially annoying when headpieces remove your hair/horns/ears on any race.

I looked at the light armor first and was pleased to see no tail clipping….then I saw the medium and heavy.

Why can’t you have the same thought put into all three weights of armor. I love my charr ranger but it sucks that I can’t find many armor sets that I both love the look of and don’t have tail clipping.

I still don’t understand why Anet can’t release new armour sets with no tail clipping. I can sort of forgive not modifying existing armours to remove tail clipping, but the fact they keep being too lazy to make new armours that don’t have this issue is getting very annoying.

And before someone says it, it’s clearly not a case of being too time consuming/too difficult for them to make armour that doesn’t tail clip. You can see from this new set that they did it for the light armour and then couldn’t be bothered to do it for medium and heavy.

Urgh, that’s pretty awful.

It bugs me immensely that some of the Charr cultural armor, by Charr, for Charr, doesn’t have a proper tail slot.

However, I do love that the light armor of this new set do a very nice tail-guard. That was awesome and it looks great. Why not also on the medium & heavy version?

And people wonder why I cite that clipping really isn’t an issue for the design team when i bring up capes. Ah well. At the end of the day there will be clipping.

And there I was always thinking the backward footprints were a speciality of my charr’s feet :P

And why can’t I have butterflies for my ladycharr?? :’(

I’d wish I wouldn’t have to make these post EVERY SINGLE TIME they release new armour…… And I will keep doing it every time a clipping armour is released. Charr is the only race I play….

I feel as if I’m being punished for choosing to play as charr!

So far i don’t know of one single armour set (outfits not counted) that does not clip for any of light, Heavy and medium (plz tell me if u do). Could u plz make ONE set that fits Charr – no matter what weight class u are!!!!
It would also be nice if the pieces arn’t overdimensioned, stretched or removing bodyparts such as horns, ears, manes etc

Please

I don’t understand what the problem is. Are you wanting the tail not to come through the clothing, so no tail is showing? Would seem wierd to not have the tail coming through the clothes. /shrug

No…many people want them to think about how the armor looks with the tail. To design the armor around the tail. Much like the light armor does with a split in the back and either leave it at that or have “tail armor” that has something that covers part of the tail.

On the heavy and medium armors of this particular set (and MANY many others) the charr tail clips through the back of the armor because there was no thought put into how to have the armor either drape over the tail or design a split in the back of the “butt cape” to accommodate charr tails.

The same goes for Asura ears and feet.

Small holes cut into fabric of armor where tail goes that just barely fit the tails.

That are magical holes because they move with the tail swishing but never disturbs the fabric. >.>

Op, you have bigger problems. From that lower attachment preview it appears you have turned into, a Werewolf Werecharr. Beware the moon And could be much much worse, the tail could have been docked ‘ouch’.

I posted this in another thread but the carapace light armor shoulder floats rather far away from the body.. not sure why their art department feels that it is acceptable. The char neglect is real. I doubt they even proof their work on charr models at all at this point.

You’re previewing it with another armor top. I’m guessing if you preview it with the light carapace top it won’t look as noticable. Each shoulder set “floats” a certain amount away from the body based on what the chest piece of the set looks like. When you mix-n-match it becomes noticable when the spacing of the top and shoulders isn’t the same. Some shoulders meant to go closet to the body clip into tops that have shoulders that float higher above.

I can post you a screenshot if you like with the other top. It’s just as bad, quite noticeable. I understand there is a bit of float with all races/shoulders but it is truly accentuated on the charr due to the scaling with this particular piece.
