So i decided to play a charr male warrior..got him to level 80 with full exotics but all the armour i see somehow looks “stretched” on the charr. It was like all armour had been made for people who stand on 2 feet. As a result im going to play as a norn fenale gaurdian and get armour which actually looks right. Dint get me wrong charrs do look kitten..but the problem with the rushed armour and textures has put me off playing himfor a while. Can anyone else relate to this?

Unfortunately very few armor sets were made with charr in mind. Check out the cultural armor.

In fact there are only 3, the above mentioned cultural armor. Thinking about this now that seems really imbalanced because every other armor set in the game is made to fit humanoids which coincidentally is every race but the charr.

They don’t need to make any new sets of armor just for charr but they really do need to fix all the god kitten clipping (again) every set of armor but cultural has on charr. It’s really pretty lazy and they’ve had a year to fix them. Disappointing.

If they have to recreate the armors from scratch just to fit the charr skeleton frames then so be it. It really needs to be done.

My charr is an elementalist and light armour, imo, is even worse!

Tail clipping on most armour (including t3 light cultural,) stretched/odd appearances that came from trying to clone the exact armour from humans onto charr, floating shoulders (a lot worse on females, I believe) and horn/hairstyles being removed by helmets.

Then the devs say they’re disappointed by the human bias.

I think the recent interview with Colin said they weren’t planning to fix the Charr armor anytime soon, and the plethora of armor skins coming out in the future aren’t made for Charr in mind either; loss of horns, tail clipping, etc.

They’re all based on Humanoid forms, so they just stretch it and slap it on us Charr.
My CoE medium armor isn’t too bad honestly, my CoE trenchcoat actually has a flap over the tail.

Just stop buying gems, and maybe they will change their mind.

If they want more ppl to playing charr its simple that armors have to look decent. Even cultural stuff does clip

Yeah, they could not even get the Charr cultural armor right. Shows how much they care.

Unfortunately I am stuck in T3 armor because it is the only thing that looks good on a heavy Charr. Unless you go with the more barbaric look, but that is only nice on female Charrs.

Atrtiyum – there is a very good post about this on the Charr forum! Many Charr players suffer from this… and I totally agree! I wont give up any of my 2 charrs for it though!

Well a stink needs to be raised about this where more people will see the thread to talk about it.

People very rarely if every visit the race forums.

Honestly at this point in the game I feel like Anet should remove the charr race from the game if they aren’t willing to fix the armors. According to everything they’ve said they are just a chore to make armors for.

That is if they’re not willing to fix all the clipping issues that pretty much every set of armor in the game has. I would be happy if they had just 1 guy working on it and he only released 1 fixed set of armor a month if that’s what it took.
