Guild Wars 2

So! I like to use the chat tabs in game to keep everything separate, for me (as I’m sure a lot of other people feel the same way) it makes it a lot easier to keep track of varying messages for the different channels.

My only issue is how it seems no matter what I cannot lock my message window into the setup I have now – and sometimes I accidentally click the tiny little ‘x’ to delete it. When that happens, I have to reconfigure my message box all over again.

If I’m totally missing the feature to lock my message box, let me know – because I’ve searched for it and can’t find anything.

Otherwise! How do you guys feel? Maybe if we get enough consensus, we can get Anet to put in a tiny little check-box that lets us lock the configuration of our message tabs so we don’t have to rebuild it every time we misclick!

P.S. I’m also unsure if I should had put this somewhere else, but I did intend it as a general discussion to see how everyone feels =)

Don’t worry this is the correct sub forum for the suggestion and yes you are correct there is no lock system/feature at the moment. I also agree with your idea, another game I use has a similar system in place and it works wonders.

I’m not sure of the particulars on how they’d code it, or if it’d be an insane amount of work. It just seems like it should be one of those minor things they add in for convenience, lol.

It kills my OCD when I close a tab accidentally and have to go back to fix the WHOLE thing.

Been there, done that a few times myself lol. It shouldn’t be too much work I should imagine. Tbh they need to totally overhaul the UI anyway and give us a lot more options. I can imagine this being a very big part of the next future feature patch actually. Yet that could be anything from 6 months to 2 years away at this rate. :P
