In PvE, if a player is awarded loot by killing a creature and the loot is of uncommon rarity or higher, a chest will appear that contains the loot that would previously have been on the corpse

Anyone notice any chests yet? What items do they have? Does this nullify Magic Find?

I have had chests pop up, but also was able to get Masterwork (Green items) off a corpse. Obviously a bit buggy, but from my read on the notes, it’s not a CHEST chest (as in the kind you get at the end of an event). It’s just a different way for you to get loot from kills, and your Magic Find should still apply. For those that don’t bother with ‘junk’ drops, it’s a visual way for you to know if it’s worth going back for your lootz or not.

I don’t see any chest from my kills, maybe they forgot to actually put it in.

I definitely had it happen in the first update (when the dailies were still Aquatic kills and combos) but haven’t see it since the second.

I got a chest. It had a Green Sapphire Crystal or some crap like that.

I’m finding them to be a little harder to notice than the sparkling corpses are.

I pulled a green speargun off a corpse of a drake just a few minutes ago. It should be in a chest, but wasn’t.

its working on mobs in wayfarers and deissa, at least for me it is.

I only saw one because I left it behind. I normally hit F while fighting so the zerg just hides the chest. They do pop up, small but they are chests.

I’ve had chests drop. It’s a small wooden box on the ground, some people probably loot them without realising, and they despawn pretty quickly after being looted.

Yep, got a Lodestone in Frostgorge from a Colossus. Wooden Chest.

As I said in another thread this was made so people can find their loot and also because corpses disappear after a while, this helps lower end machines that can’t get to their loot in time, now be able to get to it. Also the chests and loot filled corpses never go away until you get the loot (this goes for blues and below as well) after this update.

got a chest, it had 2 whites/greys

I think its bugged.

seen this once – after a boss fight in TA Exp. Never seen in world.

Clearly the chests are bugged (what a surprise). I’ve had chests with white loot in them.
