Chill with all the temp content
I wish more things would actually CHANGE in the world and have the world stay CHANGED.
If this was a true LIVING STORY, the world would not RETURN TO NORMAL after the event has ended.

I am. tons of people in my guild are. This is how it’s going to be for GW2. They have the next YEAR planned out this way.
And while I’m a hardcore gamer myself, it’s not right for someone to say “Focus less on others and give me more attention!” So I’d say, “no”. It’s not time they give one playerbase more attention than others. That’s just as bad of a philosophy as temporary content.

Cragstead, Hatchery, and Southsun have changed and stayed changed before/after their respective living stories.

+1 Well worded.

Cragstead was just a small area built on top of the spider cave in Wayfarer Foothills. It holds no significance since it is an instance and has nothing to present players with.
Hatchery provides players with nothing besides what was available in Flame & Frost.
Southsun has become an integral part of the game since it has been involved in TWO events, not just one and thrown away.
So I fail to see your argument.

I have no argument. Simply pointing out that the world has changed. Cragstead is in the process of being rebuilt, with NPCs who thank you for helping them collect their mementos. Southsun has several new structures and outposts which didn’t exist before.
I am slightly perplexed by your wording. “Provides players with nothing.” What do you mean by this? Because by that definition, you’re somewhat correct. there is nothing “provided” aside from a few new NPC conversations and new scenery. But doesn’t that fall under the category of “change?”
I dont mean hardcore as in hardcore hardcore, what i mean is instead of those little content content each month, why not apply some brake and release better content instead of one after the other right off the bat after its finish
Something like a new perm dungeon thats and that applies different element like fight bosses that require jumping to and from moving platform.

I describe change as actual changes to the outside world, not an instance within a zone. If parts of Orr begin to sink again and stay sunken, that is change. If Mount Maelstrom erupts and a lava flow permanently destroys part of the forest, that is change. If centaurs migrate closer to Divinity’s Reach as to replace the drake population with centaurs, then that is change.
Adding a few instances whose existence provides no change to the world outside of the instance is NOT change.
These temporary events “temporarily” change the world and then the content fades away as soon as the event ends. The point of this thread is to protest this and demand change in this so-called “Living World”.

I’m right there with you. Halloween had a dungeon, jumping puzzle, PvP, world events, candy nodes, etc etc. That was one month. They took their time on it and it showed. Now for whatever reason we’re stuck with this little nibble of stuff to do for a few hours a month instead of actual substance.

So then what do you call the new (permanent) settlements in Southsun?
There’s been two Living Story arcs completed so far, F & F and SoS. F&F added changes in instanced areas (which, by your definition, doesn’t count.). SoS added several new structures and settlements in Southun. Going by your definitions, Anet is 1/2 so far.
EDIT: Also, so far in the Dragon Bash arc, open-world NPC Theo Ashford has been killed. This means you’ll never see this NPC in the open world, hanging around in LA again. Change, no?

Ugh i’m so tired of all the temp content, seriously hope they will add some permanent content soon such as new features / new dungeons, events, story arcs or why not some scavenger hunt out in the open world for cool armor/legendary/titles etc..

That fits my definition of change. Let me remind you that after the first Southsun event, the area didn’t become useless and none of the dynamic events went away. With Cragstead and Hatchery, there is nothing to do anymore. In my eyes, Southsun is an expansion upon Tyria. More of these events need to become permanent additions/expansions to Tyria. The world must permanently change due to their existence.

I don’t even try that temporal content out, it would just bore me to hell since even molten facility was a faceroll solo.
As we can see, about everyone is tired of the kitten temp content just so they can profit off of rng from cash shop. You notice how there is always a new set of rng box release along set with temp content.

Also by making it acc bound its obv they want you to spend, caz if u dont get it now, chances are its gone forever, screw over those who are poor or miss the event, sunce they cant be brough through TP later on.

your point would’ve been better if Cragstead and the Hatchery had been open world areas, but they’re instances, so they have little to no effect on the actual living/open world.

Not only if they were part of the open world, but if there was something to do there and their events had an effect on other aspects of the area.

Yep, threads all over the place about these subjects which already have devs answers in them. I don’t go to reddit and even I can see the responses they’ve given about the changes they are making to the game one of which is including the dungeons for the LS content into Fractals so that anyone can go back and experience the content again.
