Hi there, I purchased GW2 today and am now trying to select Sea of Sorrows realm to play with my friends. The realm is full so I thought I’d mess around with a character on another realm while I wait. I recieved the message “if you want to move to a different home world in the future you will need to purchase a world transfer.”
Does this mean I only get to choose my realm once, and cant make characters on others without paying money? If so, getting a refund, cause that is absolute garbage.
Yes, you can only make characters on one realm. Soon, though, we should be getting the “guesting” feature where you will be able to play with others on another realm. I’m not sure when that will be ready. Also, we did have free realm transfers for a while, but I don’t know if these are still available.
