Was wondering this, when choosing a world server as a new player, are you allowed to pick one that is “full”?

I can’t in good mind invite friends over (who are all pvp nuts) when we cant even PvP together due to server restrictions.

Nope, you cannot.

PvP is however not server specific (unless you are talking about WvW) and should be quite possible to do cross-server.

My friends do a lot of two things: RP and PvP.

Tarnished Coast is the only place for one of those things. Without having that as a world server, I can’t really ask them to come to GW2. it’d be rude and would just mean my friends would have a terrible time.
