there have been positive and negative reviews regarding the latest Dailies. I am on the positive side. but I think It can be improved.

Choosing our own Dailies

how it works
1) list down all of dailies that we can complete in the “All Available Dailies” windows.
2) let the player choose
3) easy dailies gets less rewards (like ambient killers ext)
4) harder dailies gets more rewards *
5) remain same: 3 dailies gives you the dailies rewards chest
6) if players choose to continue they can, but at the maximum of 12 dailies.

  • harder dailies are those that takes more time to complete (IMHO, but it all depends on ArenaNet). After all, this boils down to how much time you can spend in the game. so, if you are short of time but you want to complete your daily, choose the fast to complete ones and vice versa.

This rewards everyone.

I hate how instead of “play how you want”, it’s “here’s a list of how we want you to play and what we will reward you with if you do, now go play how you want”. That’s like telling a kid “if you eat your veggies you’ll get dessert”, then trying to use “but you didn’t have to eat your veggies” as an excuse for making someone eat them in the first place.

the daily is much shorter now 5-10 minutes at most.

i think many pve players dont’ want to spend a few minutes in pvp or wvw. That’s a problem.

are you saying the problem is that pve players don’t want to pvp or wvw? or that pvp and wvw have the 5-10 minute achievements while pve sometimes has to wait 3 hours for the right world boss to be up?

I agree that pvp and wvw achievements are really short and easy to complete if you just play them normally. pve achievements, though, are wayyyy too specific.

That could speak more about the general temperament of player that prefer those modes of play.

I wish PvE dailies are much more consisitent.

Instead of three dailies in three different zones, it should just be three dailies in the same zones.

5x Warrior, 5x Ranger, 4x Elementalist, 4x Engineer,
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant

well 2 of the pve daily are usually short.

But the other 2 are usually longer. Require people to fight certain boss or do 4 events in a zone.

pvp and wvw achievement are not that easy too. Since 2 of the spvp ones require you play as certain class and win. WvW achievement some time take a while if it is taking keep or tower.

So the reality is if you want to get your AP fast, you kind of have to do different mode.

Anet can probably change the pve daily to complete any 4 quests or any world boss. That’ll probably solve the problem.

Every part of the game (and ever mmo ever made) requires you to do something specific in order to get some kind of reward/achievement. Not YOU pick the something you do AND then pick the reward you get.

You cant get wvw achievements from doing fractals. You cant get dungeon achievements from farming champ mobs in orr. You cant get LS achievements from jumping puzzles.

Why should you get daily achievements from doing only what YOU choose to do? (and “we got them for free before” isnt a good answer)

What you described is exactly what is in the game… I take it you just want more options, which would be nice, but seriously, it’s still ridiculously easy to finish the dailies even if you only do the PvE ones.

I still dont understand why so many people hate the new dailies, it’s not like you “HAVE” to do it.
Laurel now drop from login reward.

OK. Scrap that.. I love to be able to choose our dailies.
Imagine if i can choose “kill x world boss” 4 times or 12 times. It means i can get double (in some case triple) guarantee rare item, hence sell for easy money or gamble in mystic toilet for the chance get exotic (precursor please).

People really don’t think far enough to say anything nowadays.
