I’m currently trying to complete a step 10 which requires you to beat a champion reef rider. Sadly I feel there is a lot wrong with this step
- Requires doing a jumping puzzle
- Can not be soloed on my class of choice. Get two shotted on my ele
- Is situated on Southsun a desolate map for the most part.

Other problems that are associated with this but may not include everyone
-Not in an active guild to be able to get helpers
-OCE timezone so even less likely to bump into people

I just feel for the most part the Journal/Quest section of the collections should be doable solo. It is the section that is part of your journey. Probably just a bit salty since been waiting there for 3 hours

You really can’t complain about not soloing something needed for a legendary shortbow collection on a class that can’t use shortbow, you know. And Ele is the worst thing for solo content anyway.

Have you tried using one of the pvp or wvw builds on your ele while trying to complete this? They have a lot more focus on not dying to damage, and avoiding it, than the “all glass cannon, all the time” pve focused builds do.

You really can’t complain about not soloing something needed for a legendary shortbow collection on a class that can’t use shortbow, you know. And Ele is the worst thing for solo content anyway.

What class they opt to do it on is a moot point, considering ascended and legendary grade items are account bound and can be moved from character to character. There is nothing saying ele won’t get shortbow “eventually” through a future elite spec.

I did this on my necro with the intent of giving the bow to my thief.
