Clarification regarding Gift of Fortune
Yes a clarification is needed for those of us in the middle of earning gifts already. If the same old combination of gifts will still work for the older leggies??
Yeah, a clarification would be nice. Like others, I made a Gift of Fortune and have been holding onto it for HOT legendaries, in case I liked them. I’d be a bit annoyed if I couldn’t use it for the new ones. :p
I just want to know if gift of fortunes will be used with Mystic Tribute or if it would only be useful to craft old legendaries.
“The Mystic Tribute is a new version of the Gift of Fortune and contains a greater variety of trophies and mystic objects than the Gift of Fortune.” – from the blogpost
Gift of fortune in it’s current form will not be an ingredient, so if you have crafted it, you will not be able to use it to make the new legendaries. What isn’t clear is if parts used to make the gift of fortune e.g. mystic clovers, will still be needed.
They do mention:
“That is particularly true of the trophies that will be required for it. Trophies are a large part of our economy that can always benefit from additional uses so that the demand will match the supply on the trading post.”
So it appears it may be similar but the gift of magic and might have now changed to be made of new trophies as oppose to powerful blood and other t6 mats. We’ll just have to wait until release.
If anyone has not yet crafted the gift of fortune, just hold the raw mats. You can always sell the mats back to the tp – you can’t sell the gift of fortune back.

Pretty sure GoF wont be needed for new legendaries, exactly to prevent players doing what you did and already have a quarter of their new legendary made before hot comes out.

Maybe. Honestly, it won’t be a huge deal. I’m close to another full set of t6 by now (and I have Venom sitting in my bank, if I want to make one of the older ones). But it’d just be nice to know for sure.
Clarification would be nice that way I can just make a few legendaries and sell em to get rid of my gift fortunes instead of waiting.
