They offer everything else in the gem store so why not a class change? I’m very tired of flaws in my current class and would like to change it to make this game somewhat more enjoyable again. I don’t have time to waste making a new character when this character I play took me forever to max out and I don’t really have the time to go through the story again nor care too doing the same tasks I already did just to get another 80 in the same race I like.

So do you think GW will offer class changes in the future? I’m surprised they don’t now. Some folks will say “No, you don’t need a class change just make a new charater yadda yadda”. Well speak for yourself. I’m just trying to get enjoyment out of the game. Nothing worse than logging into a game you’re beginning to hate because of the problems with your class the developers constantly ignore despite all the complaints.

I’d rather have a Race Change than a Class Change, but both would be nice. They talk about all the complications with the personal story if you were to change races, but screw the personal story. If you change your race, just reset the personal story, and if we want to do it again we can. (at no XP or Item gain) If we don’t want to bother with it, then we don’t have to. The personal story is pretty insignificant in the long run anyway. I’ve wasted too much money over the years on these types of services. I name/alliance/race changed way too many times in WoW.

I doubt they’ll ever offer one. You’ve stated that you don’t want to hear it but you need to just roll a new toon. That’s why they gave you 5 character slots. Besides, if you find a class that you really enjoy then it shouldn’t be a problem leveling it up to 80. If you are in a real hurry they just craft to 80.

Just make a new character. If you have no extra slots to make a new one, Anet puts them on sale every now and then.

In GW2, Trading Post plays you!

NO .. no no no …

You don’t need it (according to me), so NO, you can’t have it …
I can’t afford to buy gems, and I’m dripping with envy of those that can, so NO, you can’t have it …
I know it has absolutely nothing to do with me and is 100% none of my business, but still, NO …
Although I am not a video game developer, I will pretend that I know for a fact that the coding and work required to implement it is too difficult, and say NO …
I don’t like the idea, and what I like and don’t like should be enough, so, NO, you can’t have it …
Personally I would never change my own class, so because of that, you should not have the option to, so NO …
I will ask you why you went 80 levels before figuring out that your curent race/class was not for you; although I really don’t care what your reasons are, and just want to say NO you should not have that option …
Also, there are other threads about this, so that should be enough for me to say NO …
While I’m as lazy as the day is long myself, I will call you lazy and claim that you need to “work” for it, so NO …
Although saying, “don’t be lazy, just roll another toon and level the race/class you would prefer”, is presumptuous of me and rude, I’ll say it anyway, and follow up with yet another, NO you can’t have that option …

And last but not least, even though I don’t want to change my own race/class, so this thread should be of no importance to me whatsoever, I will pop into your thread anyway, just to say, NO …

Because… soulbound.

Anything I post is just the opinion of a very vocal minority of 1.

The reason I change so much in MMOs is because I’m an indecisive kitten who likes to waste money. My paladin in WoW started out a Blood Elf, then changed to Space Goat, then back to Blood Elf male, then changed to Cow, then as of right now it’s changed to a BE female. That’s how you properly waste money. Rolling a new character is the easy answer, but I like to be able to change appearances without having to just dump that character that I’ve spent hundreds of hours of gametime with. It’s never a matter of “I’m unhappy with my character.” It’s more a matter of “I want a change of scenery.”

Question: How would you even know if the armor set up you have would be what you want on your new class? What about weapons? Not all classes can use the same weapons, so you could potentially lose use of those weapons.

I won’t stop because I can’t stop.

It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….

Those are the types of consequences you have to deal with if you would want to change your class. It would be in the disclosure agreement.

This would be even harder to get in than the race change so I’m doubting that will happen.
