I want to clear the map with at least one character but I am not a pvper and wonder if I have to clear the pvp world maps too.

No, nor do you have to clear WvW maps any more. Only the Core Tyria maps. This excludes all HoT maps, Dry Top, The Silverwastes, and Southsun Cove.

Only Core Tyria Open World maps.
