I’d like to know why the client won’t remember the password that’s put in, even when the (now redundant) check box is ticked.

Is this some kind of bug or by design? Why can’t we have our password ‘remembered’?

Mine is remembered. It’s probably a bug.

Mine is remembered. Some players have reported issues with messed up local.dat files where I expect such information is stored.

I did notice now that the password field only shows 6 * as oppose to the password’s true length.

Mine is remembered also, but now I have to click the button to log in. Autoplay is now kind of useless though.

Auto-play was so you didn’t have to hit play after login. If it did everything before I would have considered that a bug. Now adding -autologin to gw2.exe’s command line along with checking auto-play should do what you are asking.

Edit: Oh look -autologin doesn’t work anymore

Try deleting %appdata%/Guild Wars 2/Local.dat

That’s where your settings are stored.

Tried that, still hasn’t fixed it.

Any other ideas?

Mine is remembered but auto-“log in” doesn’t work.

I see the game become to be more easy where there is no need in it (content) and more annoying in such (technical) changes (or bugs…xD).

GW2 is almost a perfect MMORPG. Please, DON"T make it in such way like we are stupid.

It’s remembered, but it doesn’t show how many characters your password has. It shows 5 greyed out stars as if your password isn’t there – but it is.

I’ve found that even though it appears the password is no longer saved, and shows the field blank, the password is actually saved. Just need to hit the ‘Log In’ button.

Which it used to do automatically. You didn’t need to click ‘log in’. Auto-play is still working.

Ok. I’ve never used ‘Auto-play’, and I didn’t think that was the topic. But, my bad.

Ok well just hitting the login button button will have to do, but I can’t understand why the fire-and-forget functionality of the last build (pre-9/9) was abolished.
