Guild Wars 2

The Game Client is constantly being updated and we never find out why. The only time we do find out what’s in an update is on major patch day releases. And the major patch day release notes are often missing many of the changes.

Can you please fix both of these communication / customer relations issues?

When you update the client for any reason, provide update notes. When you do provide update notes, make sure they aren’t missing any applicable information. Pretty basic stuff here.

Many times they tag on the update with the last major patch. Look at the last major patch and you’ll see like 6 replies to it, that is their minor updates.

They do include notes, especially on their twitter feed

“We’ve updated the game for routine maintenance only. No content changes were included. ~RB2”

Why make a thread at all if you are the ultimate source of truth and no one can possibly disagree with your infinite knowledge?

Every time the client has updated and there are changes it is posted in the thread for the current major update as a reply to that thread.

Every time the client is updated for maintenance and no changes are made there is an announcement either at the top of the forums or on twitter.

Many times they list things rather vaguely, such as “fixed various server crashes” or “closed possible exploits” because the details aren’t important.

The only thing I wish they’d provide more details on is the addition of new features. Guild missions were very poorly explained and no one is sure what is a “feature” and what is a “bug”.
