Had an octovine event succeed insanely close to the timer. In fact, the timer vanished so we didn’t know if we won.

It was pretty rough as 2 sides wiped, many refused to WP and others were just complaining in chat about ml nerfs not bringing enough people.

But there were those that refused to quit and with some combo of fiery gs and every mobility skill in the book, people converged on the last vine. I was only able to get two hits on the last one.

Despite lack of orginization, nobody overburned any side. Found that somewhat miraclous.

Probaly the most satisfying post event lootfest I have had in a long time.

That was quite nice.

I was in a Dragon’s Stand where North command went AFK after we started fighting bosses (or maybe just before). Mid & South succeeded about as quickly as I’d seen, but we were in danger of failing because the North bosses were out in the loop and chaos ensued. One of the other commanders left their group in the hands of a capable lieutenant and took over for North.

And yes, that was one of the most satisfying meta events. The game is often at its best when people scramble to coordinate and show how just a few gud ppls in the right place can make a difference. (Probably even more satisfying when you’re one of the few.)

Got into the map with 14/15 Carriers…..

And all lanes don’t know what they were doing. from the chat, it seem they failed South, Mid and North…….before calling in LFG……
Someone on the map started organizing while protecting that last 3 carriers…….
I forgot which lane went in first for 1st boss, but it was nail bitting. People on chat were already giving up saying this is hopeless. But many of us were trying their darnest to keep the carriers alive. I even have to go full on Water and stick to the carrier like glue as does some others.

In the end, the score. Vinewrath 0, Players 1 (14/15)

Nice! Close calls are always exciting.

Also, it always astounds me that no matter how well Auric Basin meta is going, map chat is full of complainers, doomsdayers, and abandon-all-hopers. I mean, I know it shouldn’t surprise me, but it does.

Sometimes, I look for the LFG requesting any nattering nabobs of negativity. (I’ve yet to find it.)

My best last minute win was a Tequatl kill with 4 seconds left on the clock. This was back in the early days when T very often failed. Quite satisfying it was.

AB Meta is actually better now as the ppl who do the event are actually interested in doing it for the event rather than just the loot , which was the case with multi map.
Now , the tarnished sage and traitor also get taken out at the end of the meta every time , when previously with MM no one cared.
