CoF farming or Penitent/Shelter farming?
well neither. Try farming CoE. 15 silver per boss, boss happens 3 times, 20 silver at the end, plus anything you get from chests and trash mobs.
Irrelevant topic, people that want to work in a team environment will favor CoF P1, whereas those that like the solo feel of pent/shelt will go there. If a players enjoys the former he/she will do multiple runs thus netting him gold in that fashion. The same can be said for the latter. Time being the subjective factor to the player either one can net you a good chunk of coin if you are willing to spend enought time doing it.
If a player can stomach hours of running CoF it will of course give the best “bang” for the buck as the rewards are constant, but as I don’t enjoy the company of strict adherence to some arbitrary ruleset and/or builds, I much prefer Cursed Shore.
I do some cof until I’m bored and will do pent/shelt til I’m bored…I make ab the same in an hour about 6g. Sometimes tho at pent/shelt there is too many people and sometimes theres not enough so that’s a factor
I run pent/shelter a couple times a day in between other tasks and projects. I never run dungeons because I just don’t like that kind of game play any longer.
I can’t compare which is more profitable but I can speculate that if your server is busy at the time you normally play and/or more specifically if the pent/shelter area is full of people you will make a great deal less profit.
There are sometimes too many people killing the trash mobs, and the larger group attracts more Champions which are far too long to kill and reduce the overall drop rate by having mobs gated by time.
A less than ideal solution is to guest to a more quiet server for the cursed shore farming, but not everyone sees this as a non invasive move thanks to overflow and world boss issues.
Never had made much doing Pen/Shelter. COF-P1 or Borderland Skrits or Frostgorge Sound make alot more gold.
CoF seems to make more money than shelt/pen ever will. But the problem is that cof occassionally gets locked out and you have to waste some time trying to unlock it, getting another group going, guesting to see which worlds are open, etc. Shelt/pen is slower but more “consistent”.

Incorrect numbers.
Alpha spawns three times, first encounter doesnt drop loot at all, second encounter gives you event silver at maximum (1-2s), and the third alpha drops 15s (Buffed to 20-21 with omnombberry)
If you mean bosses such as the middle ones I dont even believe they will drop fifteen silver. I know for a fact the robot drops 10s, and believe it likewise with Bjarl/Husk/Destroyer.
To OP: Id go with COF. Pentient/Shels = Gambling by luck, which the odd’s are not in your favor but its possible to get good money. CoF = Farming by force, pure guaranteed silver drops with the chance @ rares too. I found Cursed Shore more fun though, just due to the massive amount of people, zergs on risen, being able to constantly hit events/mine.
Edit: Filter changed dro kitten ilver to dro kitten somehow
Which is best?
In your opinion, ignoring the “fun” factor! Which nets you the most gold?
Warriors with 2 legendary and eternity s would tell you. Ignore the fun!!! >:)

I believe he is trying to say, in Cursed Shore (likely) he will be solo, so if that is his style do that. CoF p1 is working with a team of others and relying on them to obtain your loot.
CoE also drops charged cores and lodestones so if you get one of those it is a nice gold boost

Correct, that and the time factor was what I was trying to convey. Had the entire post been read/quoted I’m sure there would have been less confusion.

Shelt/pen is superior in so many ways.
CoF farm is good for silver drops and whatever rares/exotics you get on the way
But shelt/pen is nice due to the mob density, loot bags and stress-free farm, not to mention it’s entirely possible to have zero downtime through guesting.
The CoF crowd seems to be all about efficiency and time. If you don’t have the right gear, you’re kicked. If you’re not the right class, you’re not considered. If you need to afk or are slow, you’re kicked. I’m not up for hours of CoF farm with no breaks inbetween. It’s not fun and more of a chore.

+1 for cursed shore
CoF can be frustrating if you don’t have reliable teammates, I don’t like having to size up other players hoping they’re reliable. I only do CoF anymore for the freebie berseker stat exotics for when I’m skinning new gear.
