Collections: retroactive credit
since they are rare, you would have to soulbind the weapon itself to unlock the skin. You would still not have credit for them. Having the recipe doesnt unlock the skin either.
Gates Of Madness
Jewelcrafting to 500!
If you crafted them to sell on the TP, then they wouldn’t have been added to the collection, if it was available at that time. You need to soulbind, accountbind, salvage or MF them in order to get credit for the collection. (Basically unlock the skin.)
If you crafted them and sold them on the TP, then you didn’t unlock the skins for them, thus they wouldn’t be added to the collection.

What the others already said. You don’t unlock the item by crafting it; you unlock the item by binding it to your account or character.
I understand having to soulbind, I overlooked that. But the armors I did equip and no credit. The cotton and linen recipes would be way too expensive to craft again. I noticed that if I had the pvp version of the armor or weapon, I would have the credit which is also how I got most of the collection stuff.

When they put the wardrobe system in, only the skins you currently had equipped or in the bank/inventory to a character or your account were applied. And yes, any skins you unlocked in the pvp locker were also applied. So while it does suck that my previously-bought but no longer worn cultural skins and other items didn’t apply to the wardrobe (or to collections, when they were added) right away, I did understand that it really isn’t that big of a deal.
What cotton and linen recipes would be “way to expensive to craft again”? Most of those skins I imagine you can buy or craft for fairly cheap.

If you destroyed/sold the pve versions of those items prior to the wardrobe update the game has no way of knowing what you had. They physically could not retroactively award it since they have no idea what you had. You can re-buy those skins for a couple of silver on the tp.
PS. Wait till you get to the 2000+ skins stage, the cheapest unlocks are 2-4g+ a piece.
11x level 80’s 80+ Titles 2600+ skins , still a long way to go.
Now I realize that there is no way for them to know what skins I had unlocked unless they were in the pvp locker or were currently being worn by my toons.
Yes buying from TP is cheaper than crafting. Have you seen how much cotton and linen go for? I prefer to craft as it makes me feel more involved in the game.
I know there are some pretty expensive items to fulfill the collection. I was just looking at what I was close to completing and noticed how empty the armor collections were and how I had no hylek weapons unlocked.
Thanks for your responses.

The achievement ends at 1000 skins, or are you just trying to complete the skin collection? If so, wow.
